The Atlanta Braves

Put it this way, he is a hall of famer if he spends his career at Coors, a very good player if he doesn’t.

So we get a very good player at 3B for at least two years and maybe five more years after for a high price but doesn’t break the bank (thanks Ronald and Ozzie!) who plays super elite defense and hits 30 bombs? Sign me up!

His current contract is 255 million and we would have to give up elite prospects. THINK!

He will be better than league average but NOT WORTH WHAT YOU’D BE PAYING HIS ASS AND WHAT YOUD HAVE TO GIVE UP TO GET IT.

Say what you will but he has played one more game on the road than at home and his OPS is 200(!) ticks lower than at home. BA 60 ticks lower, SLG .140 lower, literally everything is significantly lower. That’s a MASSIVE red flag. Ozuna can give you similar for basically nothing.

Ozuna’s career slash line: .272/.329/.455

You really think Arenado wouldn’t put up a better slash line than that? Ozuna has a career 112 OPS+ I’d put money on a healthy Nolan doing better than that.

Ozuna also isn’t a good defender while Nolan’s defense is premium. I’d rather have Arenado by far.

And I’d rather have Mike Trout than Nick Markakis. We shop in the value aisle bro. You aren’t paying 200+ million for Ozuna and giving up elite prospects which you fail to acknowledge

Okay? I’m trying to win a World Series. I’m giving up a contact hitter that strikes out at 30% that may or not be a CF, a pitching prospect (a good one bit still a pitching prospect), Inciarte who hasn’t been a league average hitter in two years, and another pitching problems with arm problems in the past (in that hypothetical deal Bowman suggested). Didn’t we sign Ozzie and Ronnie long term to take a risk like Arenado? At some point, we got to swing for the fences and break the bank. I’d take my chances on Arenado.

lets try a different approach, what would Kris Bryant’s numbers look like if he played half his games at Coors?

NA shouldn’t even be an option with KB available

Is KBs defense on the same planet as NAs?
tf is with y’all and defense all of a sudden lol. No, it’s not, but his offense is better and better offense is always the answer. Maybe we should’ve resigned Dallas and his ground ball prowess and stocked our infield full of great defenders and see if we can beat the Dudgers and Mad Max and Strassy.

Hint: you’ve seen this movie before

I would like to point out that Ozuna costs us a draft pick which is only a big deal because MLB hammered us with the fire of 1,000 suns for no reason
