Imagine if that catcher was JT REALGOATOI would do that trade with or without the opt out. I want a WS title dammit. What if you did that trade...
Then you traded Shane Greene, Bryse Wilson and Huascar Ynoa for Schwarber. Cubs get a young talented starter and a bullpen arm. Maybe they don’t do it, but...
Acuña
Ozzie
Freddie
Arenado
Schwarber
Swanson
Markakis
Catcher
Boom
He’s probably my favorite non Brave in the bigs right now but on that contract alone he isn’t worth it. Then you’re asking me to give up Anderson AND Waters? Nah.Z, you do realize Arenado’s road OPS is less than 800, right? And his road OBP is a putrid .323, slugging .476... it’s just keeps going on and on
NO THANKS
His defense is incredible and that doesn’t slump but hard no on adding him. Rocks know they made a mistake with that contract, that’s pretty telling. He’s probably my favorite non Brave in the bigs right now but on that contract alone he isn’t worth it. If it guaranteed a championship of course I’d do it. But this lineup, adding Arenado in his non Coors form, doesn’t even make us the favorite in the NL. And the Braves FO will absolute let his contract hang around their neck once it becomes too heavy.

You can really spin numbers I’ll give you that. Should be a stock broker.Yes, but if you take the last three years he had two excellent years away from Coors with 2018 being more of an aberration.
2019: .866
2018: .772
2017: .886
2016: .832
Plus two things: One, hitters have talked about how because the ball breaks different at Coors it affects their ability to hit outside of Coors and can lead to such large splits. Is he a .947 OPS guy outside Coors? Probably not. But I don’t see a reason why he can’t be a .900 OPS. Even adjusting for Coors he is a 130 OPS+ guy. And he’s an elite defender. You’re still gonna get a 6 win player most likely.

You know he is 1/2 the player away from Coors. Stop playin
He will be better than league average but NOT WORTH WHAT YOU’D BE PAYING HIS ASS AND WHAT YOUD HAVE TO GIVE UP TO GET IT.Half the player?! Come on, he’s not going to put up the raw numbers but he’s more than a 3 win player away from Coors. You’re basically saying he’ll be a league average hitter if he came to Atlanta.
Oh the guy that dropped dead after he left Coors Field?'Coors Field effect' shouldn't scare off teams interested in CarGo
Little bit of an older article, but still relevant.
