Disclaimer: If you don't care a lick for Star Wars, just breeze on by.

I just don't get the "well done story" part. It doesn't even stand up to the very propositions it puts forth.

-Am I supposed to sacrifice myself to save my friends or not? If not, is it a good idea to try and kill both of us in my effort to stop you? Holdo? Sure. Luke? Why not. Finn? No way!
-Should I let the past die or keep holding onto it? I'm gonna burn those silly texts with my force ghost lightning bolt! Just kidding. Rey has them on the Falcon. But that old tree had to go.
-Should I clarify my intentions to my crew to at least ease their concerns or just pull the rank trope and deepen the misunderstanding?
-Should I call back the bombers myself or just let them go and blame my subordinate for the failure?
-Should I hyperspace my ship into this bigger ship and make everyone who has ever seen a Star Wars movie wonder why they never tried that before (and force future filmmakers into retconning this decision)?
-Should we use shuttles to get more shuttles and everyone can fly off in different directions, or should we go to a casino and let out the animals that will just be recaptured while ignoring the slave children who work around the very same pens? Well, our friends are screwed, but we had a pretty good laugh that we ruined someone's morning rounding up their race camels.
-Do lasers arc in space? I know it's a Star Wars movie, and they always take liberties with things like this, but I just didn't understand the point of this one.

And your favorite:
Should I save my nephew since I'm his teacher and uncle and responsible for his well-being? And I know he's not completely turned yet, but I'm not going to bother trying to get him back despite the entirety of episode VII where he's still trying to convince himself he's "all bad" (which is later on in the story). I'm also going to ignore the part where in the first three movies of the franchise I establish that I'll gladly risk my life to save loved ones, friends, allies, people I barely know, somebody that asked for help from someone else, my estranged father who killed children and spent most of his career hunting down and killing Jedi, and anyone else who might happen by. But my nephew? Screw that guy. Also screw those guys I helped in the first three movies. They can get impaled and fall in a hole for all I care.

If someone enjoyed it as a popcorn flick, that's fine. It's got plot hoes, franchise hoes, and even hoes in the very themes it puts forth. It's visually pretty good, but I really don't get the argument that it's well done.

...in different area codes????

Umm..you, can't?

It's a 25 hard cap, 2 year average. So for the '21 class you'd be starting at 23 if you moved 2 forward...

My understanding of how it all works.
'19 class we ended up with 24 (2 to transfers, 1 to walk on, 1 given back for McBride)
'20 class we're sitting at 23 (2 in transfers)

So the assumed max in '20 class is 26 (24+ 26 = 25 average). If we don't use the full 26 and just sign the last 2 commits and finish at 25 (counting Cade/Jones in that 25) then we'd have 25 for '21 class, and the +1 we gained would likely be back counted to the '20 class when a PWO was awarded a scholarship.

I don't know without having all the data the coaching staff has...but I'm not sure counting 2 on the '21 class helps us in anyway sign 27 in the '22 class (next cycle I assume you're referencing).
next cycle meaning '21....

didn't know that...or if i did, forgot about it regarding the 2 year average.

but if we stick at 23 for this cycle, and sign 27 in '21, that's 50....and you would still have that 1 spot (the 26th we have for this cycle) you could use if you sing up a PWO, cause that would only count against the 85 and not be an IQ......right?

Best part was when the perv laid the girl down to check out some tiddys and the monster sucked her through the float. 😂

The best skit of that movie - which like 8 year old me saw in the theatres thanks to my parents owning a movie theatre in Massachusetts - was the hitch hiking one. “Thanks for the ride lady! Thanks for the ride.”
lol...good stuff. walk down memory lane.....

Great...as soon as you do turn that corner, we're gonna start a 50k like club.....and rub it in @Sleegro, @bignewt and @Glitch 's face. i don't know what we're gonna have on the menu yet....but it'll be better than @frank 's bbq. bet.

wait, how many likes do they have again?
I not a big like giver. I will give them out if I am in full agreement with a post, someone really makes me laugh, and when people are really clever with post and GIF's. How about you guy's? I just want to add all likes I get are truly appreciated.

Tombstone Brewing Co. has some good beer. Recently opened a few years ago.

Tucson Brew scene is getting good. Much more options nowadays than a few years ago.

Love going to Bisbee to drink good beer and people watch. St. Elmo's is my go to spot. Esp during the summer when it is much cooler up there.

Haven't hit up the Phx local brews too much yet. Only been to 4 Peaks and Huss.

Also dated an artist from Bisbee. That’s a really cool little town.

@RiotVol y'all ever hit up spots in Sierra Vista / Fort Huachuca? One of my groomsmen lives down that way and we quail hunted around all the spots mentioned. I thought Tombstone was a little disappointing as a town though, lol.

i gave you a like..you decide. :)

There was a Creepshow episode modeled after a Stephen King short story called the raft. It has always stuck in my brain and kept me from swimming in lakes for a long time as a kid.

Edit: The monster was just an oily looking blob that floated on the surface of the water and wrecked stupid kids that swam in the lake.
swimming in a dirty lake should be enough to stop anyone from swimming in a lake.

That's awesome. Do you have to teach only, exactly by the book or do you get tell some of the "between you and me" stuff, too?
My favorite was always the latter👀
A lot of "between you and me stuff", I will also teach them multiple sides of events and let them form their own opinion. I think that's the way it should be done.

From the "pure numbers" as it reads in the manual. 23 this cycle would allow 27 in the '21 class to hit the 25 average, but you wouldn't "have" that 1 since you'd still have to count it in the '20 cycle or lose it, basically.

The 25 hard cap isn't part of the 85 max. We have a floating counter, but it's a class/cycle counter that either needs to be counted to '19 (could be done with a PWO that arrived in '19) or it can be counted in '20. It doesn't "float" though.

You could sign 25 every season and never give walk-on scholarships out and still need attrition to get down to the 85 max you're allowed to have on scholarship.

Basically yes 23 this cycle, 27 next cycle and if you're under the 85 could give a walk-on a scholarship.

Now if you wanted to give a walk-on a scholarship that hasn't been on campus a full year, that walk-on WOULD have to be counted towards a cycle to receive a scholarship, that's why Garland was backcounted to the '19 cycle.

Just for fieldwork around there. Didn’t spend much time in the town.

ahhh, gotcha. that's an important piece of information....regarding the floater.

as for the 85 cap, i don't think that'll be an issue for us any time soon lol....

Huge fan of Jennings. I am even a Murfreesboro resident. I hope he has a great NFL career and I think he will. But....PFF has lost their mind. It would be huge surprise if he is a 1st round pick. I mean it only takes one team so you can never say it WON'T happen. But that would be huge surprise.
Honestly, as much as I love that freakin' baller who is JJ, I don't think he gets selected 1st round. Hope I'm wrong.
