The only five-star quarterback ever signed by Tennessee was
James Banks out of Indianapolis in the 2002 class, the first year in Rivals' history. Other than that, the highest-rated quarterbacks ever signed by the Vols were Jonathan Crompton and Guarantano.

VT was awful before Beamer. Looks like they are headed back that way. I remember wishing we could've hired Fuente instad of Botch, but he left Memphis a year too late.

I don’t even care. He flashed but he’s definitely not as good as he, and a lot of fans, thinks he is. If he doesn’t want to stay and compete and develop then there’s other schools out there.

It's okay. He was always going back to the AL where he can eventually DH. He doesn't have four years at 3rd base.
