The Atlanta Braves

The Packers getting that spot and it not being overturned is literally the Packers.

Everyone always talks about the NFL favoring the Pats but the Packers get more calls than other team in the sport of football. It’s infuriating.

There’s at least a dozen spots in every football game that are comically bad. I couldn’t think of anything related to replay more important that’s never talked about and totally fixable.

Yes the spotting of the football with the technology that we have today is an embarrassment to the sport.

No way to overturn that probably but What amazes me is that they didn't even measure it. It's pretty obvious that in both college and pro football they've made a conscious decision to bring out the chains a lot less.

I don’t care about overturning or confirming or stands or whatever nomenclature they want to use. You can see where the ball is when he goes down. Put the ball there, then measure it. I have no dog in the hunt, but there’s a 0.0% chance he got the first down.

And the spot they gave him was a yard past the stick. The game is on the line and they missed the spot by >2 yards and can’t overturn it

Bringing out the chains just emphasizes how impossible it is for the naked eye to precisely spot the ball when just an inch either way makes a major difference.

I know we talked about this with baseball replay, but they need to send it to an uninvolved referee that doesn’t know the call on the field to make the best ruling technology allows. Stop hiding behind “stands” and “inconclusive”
