👆🏼This all day
JG’s issues seem to be psychological. He strikes me as a highly conscious, self-aware person who doesn’t handle making mistakes well. Thus, he is a cautious perfectionist, which leads to delayed throws, and difficulty making quick decisions when things aren’t exactly as he anticipated.
.
His arm strength / accuracy / athleticism are plenty good to win big. He is physically capable of winning an SEC title. He just seems to lack the “I don’t give a rip” gunslinging, creative mentality. I work with a lot of people who are in a creative field, but many of them, though skilled, can’t quite be elite because they are perfectionists...which means they won’t let themselves go and just be in the moment.
.
All this to say, I love JG. He is a VFL and I am hoping he is our QB next year simply because he has toughed it out. Yet, I have little confidence he completely figures it out because you are talking about a fundamental psychological change from who he is as a person...not just a football player.
.
After that tl/dr - I could be completely wrong and know nothing about JG 😂

I’m not a huge JG fan, but he’s had 3-4 different OC’s and QB coaches since he’s been here. Maybe another year with Chaney will fix some of his issues. If not, I’d like to see us move on to Maurer or Bailey next year.

Yeah i mean I'll take this over an L any day.

Just sucks to see us play like this when these dudes all have a lot of potential.

Wish there was something Barnes could do scheme-wise, but there isn't anything.
There's not much scheme wise he can do. We have little to no inside game. Teams are making us play half court offense and there are opportunities to see open looks from the three point line. We just can't hit them. At least consistently. Tough spot. Hopefully we will start shooting better.

Random: What gets lost in the “dez caught it” debate is that it probably didn’t even matter.

Even if they ruled it a catch and even if Dallas went on to take the lead.... there was still 3-4 min left in the game and Aaron Rodgers has a long history of winning vs Dallas late. He and Davonta Adams were on fire that second half. All they would’ve needed was a field goal and with 3+ minutes, at home, there is no way they wouldn’t have won the game.

Cowboys fans are so whiney and delusional.

Need him more at middle linebacker. They’re going to give Crouch an opportunity to start there, but behind him, who do we have? Nobody that’s proven. Same situation at outside linebacker. I have no idea who would back up T.
I was hoping the Memphis Lb trio would be talent enough to be in the rotation as freshman.
