Pure speculation on my part...but I think Moorhead in year 2 showing interest at Rutgers chapped some MSU booster arse.

Leach is an odd fellow, but I don't think he'll do too much to buttheads with his administration. And if he can light up Ole Miss for 50+ the fans will be fully behind his breed of odd.

It's gonna sell tickets and be exciting football. Generate excitement and money. In a town this small, a guy like Leach coming in and making waves can really boost economic growth.

Skewed stats. Talent at TTU and WSU are insanely bad.

It's the same how people judged Mullen at MSU.

Yes, Leach will still have a poor record against the top 25, because he will have a third of the talent of Bama, LSU, Aub, A&M, etc. But for MSU standards, I think he will impress (7,8 win seasons) once he gets going (2-3 years minimum). Unless their heads have gotten too big, they should be ecstatic with those results.

Honestly, I'd stick with Williamson over Velus Jones, jmo. The return game has become so marginalized now and he hasn't shown much at all at wideout. Williamson could become a decent 4 yr contributor once he gets healthy. Also think the staff would prefer to stick with their commitment to him.

Leach wont make it 5 years at MSU. Hes fun and you love his press conferences but hes not a recruiter and will not pull any better classes there than anywhere else hes been. He just stepped into the toughest division in all of football. He will be Spurrier 2.0 without the on the field success.

Yes, but he also played Big 12 and Pac 12 defenses at his other schools. He may get better talent, but he will also play more talented defenses.

Sorry had to disappear...bi-product of the DW situation and my old friend KS attempting to screw us in more ways than one. Needless to say we am not playing nice anymore after this last attempt by the pups to get us in trouble.

DW UGA smoke had always come from the fact ga had the coach in their pocket....we had been working the mom and it turns out that was our biggest mistake. Throughout the process it was clear our staff had the best relationship with her and DW..... but in the end for a kid in his position it purely came down to taking a better deal which I can’t really blame him. I knew the day after he got home from his official he wasn’t coming here but we were not going to spoil his moment regardless...we are not going to burn bridges like CKS is doing. We see where that is finally catching up. And to that point...there is more change and instability coming uga’s way on the coaching front....just puts a smile on my face.

It would have been great to have a talent like DW here but the fact is we will win these battles more than we loose from now on and if you can’t see that Tenn is back then GTFO.
