My grandfather remarried after my grandmother died.....and we'd go over to their house for holiday or whatever....she'd literally follow you around cleaning up after you....one time....she followed me around with the vacuum... no lie. lol......

You are supposed to start a fire in the FF and when that hornets nest is good and stirred up, we can have all the shenanigans we want in the RF for a about 48 hours.

This. I don't live in a mess by any means but we do actually live.
Now, my wife used to get a little carried away when she was home with our children. Always cleaning and organizing.

Now that she's back at work, shoes come off where she sits down and the kid's permission slips will still be on the coffee table until one of us signs them the next morning.
We often just don't peek in their rooms until Saturday..after mandatory cleaning 👀

yeah, mine are old enough now.....the go to work. cleaning bathrooms, doing dishwashers, washing their own clothes......

it's beautiful.

we got screwed with that this year, for christmas. My family was over for Christmas Eve, her family came in on the 27th....and they stayed until 2nd.

i feel like all we did for about 10 days was load/unload the dishwasher, clean the kitchen and run the washingi machine.

then we took down christmas and the tree etc....more mess......needles everywhere.............anyway.

i'm glad we're back to "normal time" on the house cleaning front........lol

Mine are still years away and already designing my basement back into an apartment. Being taught the benefits in school haha.

"Have you not seen the financial benefits of living at home until mid 20's, dad? Studies have shown the headstart..."

I just stop them and say "I get it, you're mine until I marry you off or you're close to 6 figures, hooray!"
Which I secretly love because they're awesome, just don't tell them.
