why did he get fired then with all that talent? Because he sucks calling plays. Never could figure out what to do with Aaron Jones. He is a 9-7, 8-8 coach for the cowgirls.
Mike McCarthy says he'll never give up play-calling duties for Packers againThe best part, and what I find hilarious. He gave up play calling after 2015 season. So he wasn't even calling the plays those last 2 season when the Pack had nose dived and he got fired.
He's a great hire for Dallas, he wants to run the ball. Dallas has an elite RB & OL and Jones has no issues running the ball. I think he'll win more than Jason did, will him and Jerry get along is the real question down there.
That was obvious with the incredible amount of injuries under butch and how much better it was pretty much immediately under Pruitt.wow. Pruitt on the nation last night said that his first year here coach Fitz had to teach the guys how to life correctly so that they weren't injuring themselves. Intern Jones strength training boys. Pathetic
depends on how involved JJ gets.Green Bay picked Rodgers over McCarthy, all that his firing came down to.
You don't win 125 games and a Super Bowl in 13 seasons in the NFL if you're a bad or even average head coach. Sucks cause I like Dallas being trash, they probably coast through that division as long as Mike's there.

It's hard to sound kind/polite through message board text, so I don't in anyway mean to come off snarky, but that's not true at all. Thompson was the draft guy (that was his specialty since the Packers did nothing in FA outside of the huge splashes of Peppers and Woodson). McCarthy and the assistant coaches had input on what was needed for the roster and had a lot of control on cut down days, but that was about it.
