He won a superbowl because Aaron Rodgers peaked. And that Green Bay roster isnt all that loaded. That WR core? Yikes.
What? Lol

Devante Adams is one of the best WRs in the NFL. He was just hurt this year.

David Bahktari and Baluga is probably the best tackle duo in the nfl

Kenny Clarke, Zdarrius Smith Aaron Jones Kevin king etc. that team has so much talent that is home grown

NFL just continues to rinse and repeat failed coaches. Hire someone new.

The only difference is that McCarthy has won a Super Bowl and went to the playoffs 9 of 13 years. That is not really failure. Some others, I would agree with you.

The problem is that Lincoln Riley and Dan Mullen have never run a pro team, and I believe they would have issues relating to professionals. Sean McVay took a step back this year, so it's not automatic that a "young" coach would be successful.

McCarthy has a 61.8% win percentage, with just 3 losing seasons in his tenure at Green Bay. 2008 (A-Rod's first year starting & his worse season), 2017 (A-Rod injured and only played in 7 games), and 2018 (some pretty bad losses and Rodgers played every game)

McCarthy built the current loaded packers Roster and also won a super bowl.
Pete carrol, Andy Reid, and bellicheck were all retreads too.

He did not build the roster, he was not the GM. While I'm sure he had a say in players like most coaches do, Ted Thompson built that roster.

As a longtime Packer fan, I really liked McCarthy, great guy and can coach. It was just time for a change for both parties. I suspect he'll do very well in Dallas, as I'm sure he's reinvented himself a little bit and walks into a team with a lot of talent to work with.

Josh McDaniels finally goes to a team? I hope he picks Cleveland, because I want those poor long suffering fans to have some hope.. I figure he'll end up at NY or Carolina though.

why did he get fired then with all that talent? Because he sucks calling plays. Never could figure out what to do with Aaron Jones. He is a 9-7, 8-8 coach for the cowgirls.

From my understanding mike had pretty much full reign on draft days.

Do you really think they have a WR that strikes fear in the hearts of DCs? Adams is good, but they're nowhere near as potent as when they had Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and Randall Cobb.

He's basically fat Jason Garrett. Good offensive mind who was never in charge. He let Rodgers run him so Jerry knows he won't have any issues being a puppet.

Joe Judge apparently interviewing for Misssissippi state job but he's also a candidate for the Giants.

It's hard to sound kind/polite through message board text, so I don't in anyway mean to come off snarky, but that's not true at all. Thompson was the draft guy (that was his specialty since the Packers did nothing in FA outside of the huge splashes of Peppers and Woodson). McCarthy and the assistant coaches had input on what was needed for the roster and had a lot of control on cut down days, but that was about it.
