I appreciate what you are saying and where I think you are coming from. You are happy with the state of the country and you don't see the need for changes to be made. I just don't believe that many of the positive developments for our nation's economy are the direct result of any of the policies which the Trump administration has set forth. Some (but not all) of the de-regulatory steps taken have served to bolster the stock market. I will give some credit for that, but he has overdone it, with de-regulation in many regards. The tax cuts have also helped the economy, but you shouldn't fail to mention that these cuts came in conjunction with a dramatic increase in government spending and expansion. That is not fiscally responsible and it will have consequences. Also, while you are decrying the ills of socialism, Trump's tariffs and subsequent subsidizing of the farming industry should be noted. That is a form of socialism, rarely cited by conservatives/Republicans... and Trump is an isolationist. That is not how we became a world power or how our position in the world will be maintained.I didn't vote for Trump. Don't know if I can vote for him this November with a good conscience because I think he is a disgusting person. But, I can separate the man from his accomplishments. We have the lowest unemployment of my lifetime. Wages are increasing substantially for the lower and middle class for the first time in many years as a result (supply/demand). Anyone who really wants a job and is willing and able to work can get one. American companies are more competitive in the world market than at any time the last 20+ years. My IRA has increased 40% this year, and doubled since Trump took office. I want Mexican laborers to come to work in the U.S., and live the American dream, but not illegally. Consequently, I can't vote against Trump or his supporters in the upcoming election. I can vote, with good conscience, against those who take every opportunity to try to bring down his presidency, ignoring all the overwhelming good that has been accomplished and the disgusting hypocrisy in their own party. I can vote against socialism. I can vote against those who stand with the LA, SF, Chicago and NY politicians who's cities are crumbling as a result of their failed policies and corruption. Just look at all the people living in tents because of high taxes and outrageous living expenses. I like to take a hard look at what is working and what is not working. It's pretty damn evident--if you don't have blinders on. Disclaimer: I am not a Republican,. They have plenty of issues that I disagree with.
bring charges then.I appreciate what you are saying and where I think you are coming from. You are happy with the state of the country and you don't see the need for changes to be made. Finally, for the part I placed in bold, it is not always possible to separate Trump the person, from Trump the president. I don't believe that you have to be a partisan democrat to arrive at the conclusion that Trump was abusing the power of his office when he solicited the President of the Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, for a campaign favor (announcing an investigation into a potential opponent, Joe Biden). This clearly wasn't done to root out corruption in the Ukraine, or for the benefit of the United States or one of it's allies ... it's purpose was to assist Trump's chances of winning re-election. That constitutes an abuse of power.
That's because the PF is my outlet. I save the humor for when I have to better disguise the hatred. And the lowered expectations pretty much just permeates everything.
That is just my personal belief based on what I'm seeing. Just like when I saw posts from early October until mid-December that read "vote to impeach him then.", and I usually replied that it was on it's way, and then the vote happened... The Democrats have gone too far to back out now. The Senate will get the articles of impeachment soon. What's your source?
It's cool that your bank account has grown under Trump, but he's a big government central planner with socialist policies of his own. He spends like a maniac, signing the dems bills and allowing them to rewrite the USMCA to make it worse, all while they are impeaching the cuck in chief. He's selling our kids and grandkids down the river with a mountain of debt and economic policies that will hurt our future.
Aside from the absurd political theater, it's business as usual in Washington. The market happened to recover from a recession on Trump's watch and we're just gonna ignore all the bad because we got a little richer.
What's your personal belief on the delay? That is just my personal belief based on what I'm seeing. Chuck and Nancy want John Bolton, Mick Mulvaney and Mike Pompeo to testify before the Senate. While McConnell just wants opening and closing arguments made and then move to acquit. There isn't much room for compromise. I don't think there will be any witnesses called. What's your personal belief on the delay?
