Where I stand on Trump

Then be consistent and call them all out. You seem to only concentrate on the dems

I know I and others on here have frequently referenced the success of Clinton and the Republican Congress in the 90s that balanced the Budget and started reducing the debt quickly. Bush, Obama and the congresses that followed went off course and it cannot be disputed. WRT Trump, I view him as an independent. His tax legislation was a small step toward tax code simplification, we need greater simplification and can then argue tax rates after that. There are some things he’s done I support. I do not support him or his policies in totality, nor have I with any President. And I certainly don’t support the spending levels now, but congress controls that unless you, I and everyone else are willing to support a presidential veto of an unbalanced budget with current tax revenues. Are you? I want to see spending addressed before taxes. Tail continues to wag the dog and politicians feel compelled to continually expand the nanny state to quell the demands of the petulant children. We can never raise taxes enough to satiate the ridiculous spending desires in DC.

Improving your families lot in life should trump most things regardless of party.
One would think that would be of paramount importance. I have tried my best to set my wife up for the years after I'm gone, since she is 16 years younger, and women usually live longer than men anyway. I could have been a selfish piece of sh!t and bought a new Corvette for myself every year.

Yeah, both of our kids graduated college debt free and our grandchildren (hopefully) will do the same because of the college fund we have set up. Both of us worked our azzes off and never wanted our kids or grandkids to have to work like that.
