If it was college it would have been short, but in NFL the runner is not down until defender touches him. Just because his knee was down does not mean the runner was down

IMO refs got it right. His knee was down but he was not touched while his knee was down. He went airborne with a forward dive and was touched while in the air. The spot should be where he landed after he was touched in the air. He landed with the ball on the yard to gain for the first down. Good spot.

I just went back and watched and this explanation is absolutely right. Knee was down then lifted up defense touched him in the air. He extends past the line. Good eye
