Everybody has said he had a rough day, but like I said folks don't give him credit for game winning plays he also makes. You say he just dumped it off to Gray but I say he made the correct decision with the ball and executed, something our young Fr QBs have had a hard time doing. The pass after the onside kick was another good throw and play he executed well. As for all the other what ifs I just don't do what ifs as its impossible to debate and middle school stuff. Win by 1 or 30, in the end it doesn't matter one bit as a W is a W.JG spotted them 9 points. I love his fight but man he was just awful. Missed tons of throws in the 1st half, a couple of which would have been touchdowns. In the red zone he can not make the right read or find the open guy fast enough. We are lucky to have someone like JJ who fights for the end zone every play, because if we don’t score a TD on a big play we don’t have a good chance to score one in the red zone. And on his final 2 drives, he dumped it off to Eric gray twice which went for most of the yards. I don’t wanna bash him too much but geez he had a rough day yesterday
Nope. However, if you give Maurer all the #1 reps until this fall he is head and shoulders above JG come game #1.I wonder if the people who think BM would have brought us more success will be upset if he is behind both JG and HB next year? What would that say about their narrative this season? For some odd reason BM just hasn't been able to seize his opportunity. Could it possibly be that he just isn't that good or was it the competition and coaches not being fair lol?
Lol. 16. The same as JG. So JG must be as good as Burrow right??? lolololol. JG even has an extra year starting that Burrow doesnt. I bet JG throws 65 TD's in 2020!!! hahaha
I could see 2500 yards with 20-25 TDS next season from JG, I don't think that would take a miracle to accomplish either.Exactly. Cheery picking stats. If JG was to have half the season next year that Burrow had this year it would be a miracle. Not a normal miracle. Like God parting the sea type of miracle.
You made that comparison because you believe JG is going to have a break out year like Burrows when there are plenty of other QB's who threw 16 TD's in a single season. JG wont have a breakout season, ever. No amount of improvement in O-line play or tutelage under Chaney is going to fix his glaring deficiencies. He has never been a good QB. He wasn't good in high school and he isn't good in college. The UT field goal kicker scored more points than JG did this year...You made that comparison, not me, I just asked because it seems historical data doesn't mean much to certain folks.
How many TD throws did Burrow have his Jr year?
I just asked how many TDs he threw is all, you guys get worked up too easily. What was Burrow’s record as a starter last year?
How many recievers/tight ends were returning with Burrow from year 1 to year 2 as starter?
How many ranked teams did LSU beat with Burrow as starter?
How many years did Burrow start prior to his 1st year starting at LSU?
I've never once said anything close to what you say I believe. I believe that you like to simply make false statements about folks though. You made that comparison because you believe JG is going to have a break out year like Burrows when there are plenty of other QB's who threw 16 TD's in a single season. So you think we have someone else on the roster that can produce those numbers without any returning WRs/TE. Sounds like you're saying we are going to struggle in the passing game regardless of who is playing QB because of lack of returning WRs.Not only would JG have to go above his career averages, he would have to do that while being surrounded by 1 returning starter in the WR/TE unit. But sure.
Once again, I never said anything about what type season he had, I simply asked how many TDs he threw for.Not bad for a first year starter that led a team to 9-4 record with wins over 4 ranked teams.
Also not a bad jump to year 2 production with an almost identical starting 11 on offense from year 1 to year 2
