US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

Does anyone know what this does to the power balance in Iran?

Were the Shah and Soleimani on the same page?

Is the new guy a true replacement or a figure head?

That's just like this country. Half hate Trump because he did something horrible to them. He beat Hillary. It was her turn.

That's an extreme oversimplification. Ignoring the wide spectrum of rationale present on both sides of the aisle does no one any benefit.

Nikki Haley Responds To Trump Taking Out Iran’s Top Military Leader: ‘Strong And Right’

Responses to President Trump’s decision to take out General Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, has sent reverberations throughout the Middle East and prompted both praise and panic from American political figures. Count former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley among those who unequivocally agree with Trump’s “strong and right” move.

“Qassem Soleimani was an arch terrorist with American blood on his hands,” the ambassador said in a statement on social media Thursday evening. “His demise should be applauded by all who seek peace and justice. Proud of President Trump for doing the strong and right thing.”

Haley has consistently condemned Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. While serving as ambassador to the U.N., Haley spoke out against the terror-funding state, including for its “total disregard of the sovereignty” in Iraq.

Lots of Americans with blood on their hands in the ME...shoe doesn’t fit.

Blaming Iran for destabilizing the ME, blaming Iran for disregard of Iraqi sovereignty, is laughable..

I said I'm glad he's dead. That doesn't mean, all things considered, it was the most prudent thing to do at the moment.
It doesn't mean it wasn't the most prudent thing either, but that is the starting point of the narrative from just about everyone on the left. With no facts to back it up, after the president advised this was to prevent imminent attacks being planned.

I'm not a Trump supporter or hater by the way, just pointing what I'm noticing from the left.

Who?! When did they destabilized the ME?

What have we been doing the past 20 years?
Let's just say the ME is a notoriously unstable region unless a brutal dictator is in power, Iran is one of those brutal regimes.

I bet ole Jim would have been raking Trump over the coals if Iranian attacks killed US civilians, troops or contractors and he had the opportunity to stop it but did nothing. Modern American politics at is worst, both parties never waste an attempt to score points.
