What is silly about promoting Osovet? He has paid his dues for two yrs on staff in off field coaching role as he was asked. Part of the reason he came and gave up a HC job was the expectation that he gets a full time role if he proves himself. I think he will prove to be a relentless recruiter. He does well without the position so being able to travel will only increase his ability to recruit. He is a grinder and highly respected in industry. He deserves a shot and has shadowed Yac at WR and RB for two yrs. it’s obvious the plan was for him to take Yac spot at some point in time.

If not him I’d want McClendon. Got to be hard to be demoted and stay on staff but he has experience with Bobo so probably makes it easier for him to accept

I don’t necessarily think anything is silly about promoting Osovet. He may be the next Yurcich, but I don’t think we really need another X’s and O’s guy in YAC’s spot. If we have to make on-the-field staff changes, the program really needs a name/resume that’s gonna make blue chippers stand up and take notice. I just don’t see that with Osovet. Now if there is more than one move on offensive staff, I’d be more than ok with Osovet as long as the other move is bringing in a Frank Wilson type hire.

Everyone on the Osovet train sort of reminds me of how every year in recruiting - and I’m guilty of it too - there is that high 3* or low 4* that everyone has penciled in as starter based on a little bit of film.

No offense, but Joe Burrow is the best after the year he's had
Cam- Combined Yards from Passing and Rushing- 4,369 yds, Combined TD's- 50
Burrow- Passing yards- 5,208, Passing TD's 56
Burrows Passing stats are better than Cam's combined stats

I think you have to take into consideration the supporting cast. Burrow has had a fantastic year he’s but cam literally drug the tune squad to a title.

Didn't deserve to win? What a load of 💩🐎 ...

🤦‍♂️ ...You people beech when we lose and beech when we win...there is no pleasing any of you. The offense misfired because of JG being beyond awful in the RZ..period.
Jennings couldn’t convert 3rd down to seal the game
Comeback win too close.
Diamond shoes too tight.
Supermodel wife loves the bedroom but under seasons the pasta water

Of course I'm completely uninformed of how he's adjusted to this level but I have no doubt he was brought here to become a position coach.

Been expecting it and of he's shown Pruitt he's ready, then bring it on.
Also in the camp of if its not Osovet, bring on Frank Wilson...

Osovet is a helluva coach. I think Pruitt promotes him
I agree on his coaching and I’m on the record we need to get him on the field or lose him. But they need to at least make a run at Graham and/or Frank Wilson first...just for due diligence. If those hail marys fall untouched, Osovet would do well and enhance our coaching mindset imo.

That Auburn D was legit that year too. D carried them against Clemson and Miss State that year.

Rewatching the game instead of putting syllabi together...

Maurer is more accurate, but makes the wrong reads (example, the second almost pick thrown into double coverage). JG usually makes the right read, but is just not accurate (see, the pick six and every endzone throw he airmailed).

Pass Rush & Wideout are the biggest weakness for the 2020 team. We'll miss Jennings, but I dont think we'll have much dropoff with Palmer, Keyton, Tillman, & Gibbs.

QB, Pass rush, WR and TE (not all that important) Imo. Despite less production, i think we will miss MC more than Jennings just Bc of the role they field. Calloway opened up so much room for Jennings to operate underneath.

what do you think about Nix from Ole Miss? i feel like we've kicked the tires there before...but he's a good recruiter and has coached some good RB's down there....i'm sure he has ties to Memphis and probably all over Mississippi.

the more i think about Wilson, the more i like that idea. but i'm sure he'll have several suitors....
