It's a Jubilee. General pardon for the 34 members I have on ignore. It's a fresh start for the new year and upon the occasion of the Vol bowl victory. Still I have made a mental note or two for likely candidates for that treatment moving ahead. 🎉🎈🎊 Much peace and serenity to you all during the coming Vol Decade.

Man... rewatching the second half this morning, and I didn't see this last night, but with 1:54 left in the 3rd quarter, we bring a blitz. Henry T ends up getting the sack, but part of the reason is that Roman Harrison absolutely manhandles the left tackle. He body slams him, closing the gap allowing Henry to get to the QB. I cannot wait to see how he develops.
I rewatched it too. How did the Indiana coach get so wet after the game?

UNPOPULAR OPINION:

Honestly...I'm excited to see what Jarrett can do with the same OC in back to back years. This will be the first time in his entire UT career that he gets the same OC/system.

I think it'll be easier for Chaney to teach him having a full 12 games of footage of Jarrett running the system to film study with, rather than what he (the OC) did with a different QB at their previous stop. I also think Bailey will be legit competition, Maurer & JT get that "backup QB" love our fanbase is so bad to give out. But neither have really done anything to prove they should be starting, Maurer had 1 drive and hit Indiana players on 3 of his passes...

Jarrett & Bailey on the same roster should only help both young men be better.

Now I say all that for two reasons.
1. I'm not a fan of a true freshman starting, historically we've not had the best luck with that situation
2. I'd love for HB to get a RS season, I wish we had gotten to RS Dobbs...that extra season to workout and practice is huge for development

It ain’t the system chief. He doesn’t go through his progressions. Locks on one receiver as soon as the balls snapped. Throws way too late. He’s been here 4 years already. Time for both of us to move on.

Last night I scared the bejeezus out of my three year old Lab "Knox."

Keep in mind he is super smart (can open and close doors on his own, can find specific toys by name when I ask for it) and is not scared of anything but the vacuum. Even fireworks don't phase him. Also, I've NEVER beat him. I've rapped him on the nose once when he caught a baby bird and had it in his mouth. I'm also pretty even keel watching the games. I'll will celebrate, say some "gosh darns" or "stupid refs" or "what the f***'s" but don't yell at the tv in anger though I may be boiling inside.

When Crouch ran in for the TD I jumped up of the couch yelling in joy in a dancing around. It startled Knox so bad he pinned his ears back and immediately hit the deck. I could not get him to move, he looked soooo scared. Even giving him treats, scratches and doing our "dance" couldn't give him comfort. Then when Gray got the onside kick a few seconds later I clapped my hands really loud out of impulse but tried not to yell with glee like I wanted it to.
Poor Knox actually start shaking uncontrollably. I've literally never seen him do that. I couldn't even celebrate the second touchdown for fear of his mental state.
I guess he too, cannot handle Tennessee games.

My dogs, Knox (an Akita) and Alex (Golden Retriever), are sent outside when I watch games. It is for their benefit.

lol that really sucks for IU's coach. The only thing that keeps that cold on-field bath from being a miserable experience is winning. He got the double suck, poor dude.

I thought Alontae’s sack was one of the plays of the game. So close to missing him and so close to getting a face mask.

Nope. HB starts day 1 if healthy. He's been an elite prospect for a long time, putting up playstation numbers against the best competition in GA and around the country, won a state championship, he's 6'4" 220lbs and an early enrollee...He's the future and the future starts now. JG can be his backup or transfer but he's proven he's doesn't have "it" and unless HB flops, he's an upgrade immediately.
