When does Bailey get on campus??

Pruitt has to make a jump next year. Like 8-9 regular season wins kinda jump. JG ain’t capable of leading an offense that can consistently score to do that. Bailey might be the next Trevor Lawrence or the next Mitch Mustain.....
So 1 more win becuase we won 8 this year

I’m talking no less than 8-4 in the regular season. Stealing a win vs OU, UF, UGA, or Bama goes a good ways in continuing the rebuild. While everyone looks at total record, A 5-3 SEC record at minimum or a 6-2 record with an upset of the big 3.

Haha!!! Looks like I wasn't the only one thinking about Bailey. Next summer's camp should be very interesting. Fingers is already getting his typing skills ready.
The way we played for the first 3 1/2 quaters i was screaming to put HB in the game right then lol

That pick 6 by Guarantano tonight was atrocious. Take a look at that crap and tell me that looks like an SEC starting QB at the end of his junior season. Guarantano locked onto the WR from the time he completed his drop and never looked him off... he was determined that is where he was going with the ball, defensive alignment and coverage be damned. That was a horse manure pass. I still can't believe he threw it.

I'm all for giving Bailey a chance at the start of the season if that is the best we currently have.
The play was open he just threw it 5 yards behind JJ.

With competent QB play we would have beaten Ga st and BYU so this should have been a 10 win season. If HB is even marginally better then what we have i think we can get to 9 wins and a bowl

Honestly had we won those games, I don’t think this team gets to 7/8 wins. I think we still have players playing that got run off and Pruitt likely doesn’t just say screw it and start playing his freshmen.

If HB doesn't play a lot next year, he'll be an inexprienced QB the following year. Vol football players, staff, and fans IMO have seen enough JG to know he peaked out last season as e turned in roughly the same mediocre performance this season. Pruitt knows being a high school coach, all things being equal or close to equal, you always start the younger player as there is more upside down the road.

Why does him being an electrical engineering major matter? At least he's not a civil or even worse, an industrial engineering major but EE's aren't aerospace engineering majors. C'mon man.

Right now he's pre-business. Once he gets past circuits 101 he'll be an EE.

Yeah. He benched JG for a series, then putting him back in the game while the other QBs had some production and were given no chance. I saw that multiple times.

You saw Mauer have a productive series last night??

I love how hard our qbs fight but i think we are a QB away fron being a real SEC contender
Guarantano has said, he didn't care who started as QB, I glad there isn't going to a "hard fight", as this may lead to bad feelings....just saying.

He led us to points at a time when JG had given 10 straight points to Indiana. And then when JG came back in, I believe he sacked himself and threw short of the first down by 8 yards on 3rd downs

All I can say is Thank the Lord for Eric Gray and Pruitt calling the onside kick

No doubt about it. We need intelligence and accuracy at the QB position.

Nearly as much as the self gratifying portion of our fan base. Many of the posts last night were more embarrassing than execution on the field. At least the team closed strong last night.

I just hope that he can digest the playbook quickly and put pressure on the other QB's for playing time/starting. Hopefully game speed will slow down for him quickly.

Very fair concern
But i dnt think there is a loyalty aspect to it. CJP inherited JG he didnt recruit him. JG was honestly the best option this year. We managed to win 8 games while playing 3 1/2 qbs this year which is amazing in itself. That being said CJP will play the guy that gives us the best chance to win. Its not like he has an unlimited contract on the hill.

Bailey is a freshman for goodness sake. While I hope he's the second coming of Peyton his freshman season I wouldn't bet the house on it.
