Years ago I was on a puddle jumper flying into a small airport during a heavy storm at night. The cockpit only had a curtain for separation and they had left it open so I had a good view out the windshield. The last bit of the flight was the roughest I've ever been on — as we were approaching the runway I could see the runway lights and I swear they were disappearing off each side of the windshield. All I could think was "Abort! Abort!" At the moment I felt our wheels touch down, the runway lights were not visible at all, but the pilots just quickly swung it around and there they were, and we coasted right on in from there. Damnedest thing, as terrified as I was, both pilots just seemed all casual through the whole thing.

I feel ya...just sat down yesterday and went through our budget/debt to get that "fresh" start on 2020. Overall in a solid spot but yeah hoping to pay off the credit card debt in the next couple months and then chip away at a car loan.

We just take our Christmas budget, divide by 26 (get paid biweekly) and throw it into savings each check. We have an excel sheet to keep track of different designations of our savings acct. Label one "Christmas" and then it's all stored up waiting for you at the end of the year.
