Anybody staying in and fixing something good to eat?

We're having Bang Bang Wings as soon as they come out of the air fryer.

A little later we'll have some dried apples with prosciutto, honey, and ricotta. Maybe a little dried rosemary sprinkled on it. And champagne of course.

One of the things I miss about Cali is NYE. We would have dinner parties at someone’s apartment/house with incredible food and wine and avoid all the amateurs out on the town.

I got off lisinopril because one of it's side affects is a hacking cough. No joke. I got put on that stuff about a year ago and I had this hacking cough that would never go away. I wasn't sick or anything. I tried all kinds of meds. Finally went to an allergist to check for asthma. I told her I was on liprinosil and she told me it causes coughing in some people. Went back to my doctor and he switched my meds. Sure as chit that cough went away almost immediately.
Same for me. Losartin now.

Dungeness crab! (or “fun genesis”, as my phone prefers. Which it kinda was!)

That was usually part of Christmas dinner.
We cracked crab on newspapers on the floor while watching “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” on TV on NYE. Not-yet-DH did not realize at that point that Christmas would be a new and confusing addition to his life. ;-)

Am I dreaming, or wasn’t there always a bit of anxiety as to whether the Dungeness crab harvest would come in in time for the holidays?

You are not dreaming. There are years they postpone opening day.

It was! It started me off on “Scan Noir.”

I’ve read everything I can find in the NC Cardinal library system from Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, and then branched out to books set in Sicily, France, the Netherlands, England, and now Scotland (working my way through Ian Rankin.) I really like books that don’t try to go all black vs white, but instead get into the grey areas (not the Fifty Shades variety, lol.)

Although I will always love the Tony Hillerman Joe Leaphorn-Jim Chee books. I’m perfectly happy with good guys-bad guys on the Navajo Nation.

It wasn't on purpose. If i hadn't had on the watch, I wouldn't even have known.
At the gym I am going to currently the eleptical has a sensor that reads your pulse but those watches are amazingly accurate. I want a heart rate and ekg monitor in a android watch not sure if fit bit our samsung the apple series 4 has it but I'm not a Apple person but may have to if I can't find one.
