Its good to see some fans have their expectations firmly planted in reality!I’m glad he’ll be ready for spring ball. My guess is that his first play from scrimmage is a 99 yard bomb right in the numbers to Palmer.
His second play from scrimmage will be a 99 yard QB run for a TD.
..... I don’t know why he keeps starting from the 1... but it doesn’t matter, he’s scoring
You do realize non-conference games didn’t decide us not playing for the SEC Championship game, right? Trying to save you a shred of credibility here.
Gotta wait till you see that all of the recruiting services were actually talking about Harison Bailey, with one R, not two, and we were sold another bill of goods at the QB position.
That’s actually not totally true. If you include BMs rushing yards they were neck to neck in overall stats. BM 4038 total yards, 40 tds. HB 4750 yds 53 tds. The difference is BM did it in 10 games vs HB in 15. Truth is when you account for it all BM had a better senior season.Well concerning jg, someone didn't do their homework on him. I just looked up jg's hs. stats. 4 years playing qb here are his stats. 3028 total yards, 23 td, 16 int, 523 rushing his whole high school career. Compare this to Maurers stats just his senior year only. 3572 total yards more in one year than 4 yrs for jg. 34 td, more than all of jg hs career.12 int. 466 rushing yards. This is just Maurers senior year. He did more in one year in hs than jg did in 4 years. And if I am not mistaken Baileys is even more than maurers. So concerning jg, he didn't even do that well in hs. And by the way jg senior year he had 11 td. How can a qb be that highly rated with such a low amount of td and his rushing his senior year was 206 yds. I like Pruitts method of recruiting much better than Butch. I don't think pruitt looks as much at the star rating than he does the players ability. I mean butch was very high on a qb who only threw 11 td his senior year, and 23 td his whole high school career 4 years starting. You can't totally rely on these star ratings.
Smh. You’re so clueless. Think of it like this. If you have 11 defenders keying in on ONE offensive player and said offensive player accounts for 4 tds a game on said 11 defenders the odds are basically 11 vs 1. Right? Then comparing seasons vs a player with 2 major power 5 WRs, 1 equally talented RB and a top rated o line and that said player accounts for 3.5 tds a game at odds of 4 vs 1. Right? Who had the better season?JG was hurt and played less games. He also played a national schedule. High school stats are meaningless. System and competition differences make high school stats nothing more than a cool little factoid.
JG and Bailey are comparable prospects talent wise. Maurer not as good. Stats in high school are meaningless.

You think Hs stats don’t serve any purpose? Look at JGs Hs stats and try and convince us they’re not eerily similar to his collegiate career.
Stats don’t matter when that’s ALL that you look at to form an opinion. If you don’t have the ability to look at the entire situation as a whole and take a totality of circumstances into consideration on how said player reached those “stats” (positive OR negative) then you don’t have the ability to EVALUATE individual talent. This is the problem with the services and why rank or stars don’t mean chit. Stats alone are meaningless. Although hs senior stats are an indication of a players ceiling as evidenced by your beloved JG. I’ve referenced BMs and HBs senior stats many times because of that FACT.I thought stats didn't matter? With your vaunted "eye test" JG was a better HS prospect according to those who saw them at camps and during games.
Maurer won 2 or 3 games as a Sr in the weakest district in their classification, Bailey led his team to their 1st state title in 50+ years while playing one of the toughest HS schedules in the country, BM did not have a better Sr year than Bailey and it's laughable to even suggest it.That’s actually not totally true. In about 2 weeks we will have arguably the best QB room in the SEC, if we are recruiting the QB position as weak as you say then so is every single program in the SEC.Yes it does, poor job recruiting QB. Seemed to have been that way for years. Lucked out on Dobbs. If his passing had been better he would have been a very high draft pick.
