Browns fire kitchens

If anybody wants to see how NOT to manage a football organization...just watch the Haslams. Their mismanagement of the Browns (and input on the last decade+ death spiral at UT) defy logic. It is almost impossible to so thoroughly screw up every decision that they make as bad as they do. I honestly don’t know how they manage to out-bad themselves with every decision, but they somehow manage to do it.

Absolutely not. The Browns were the most undisciplined team in the NFL last year and instead of trying to improved he just egged them on. They were a dumpster fire since week 1.

I believe most people here agree that Freddie K. was not so great, however, it is not like the Browns have even scratched the surface of mediocrity before he was hired in fact, they have truly been abysmal. Browns won 6 this year 7 last year & only won a total 4 games between 2015-2017. Poor leadership is located at the top of Cleveland’s organization.

What are the chances that Pruitt fires Chris weinke and brings in Freddie kitchens as the new QB coach? Would he be a more effective recruiter?
heck no. keep as many coaches as possible. coaching got better as the season went on as well. keep weinke

Experienced coaches know to stay away from the Browns. The only experienced coach that would even entertain the idea of coaching in Cleveland is Rex Ryan and he sucks.
Well Mike McCarthy was interviewed last year which means he was interested but i get your drift. Who wants to take a job where they replace the coach every year.

I think McCarthy is a good coach who ran out of mojo at Green Bay. It would not surprise me if he landed another HC gig in the near future. The Browns just have a long history of making bad hires.

Deserved more time in my opinion.
Kitchens was in way over his head. A good coach would have won more with the talent he had. If they could pull it off, Ron Rivera would be a good fit for them, but I think Rivera will have more attractive offers--maybe Skins or Cowboys (of jobs available, probably best fit for both).

The Browns and the media made the assumption in the preseason that this was the year. Reminds me of 2011 Philadelphia Eagles "Dream Team"....

Did anyone really expect them to do well? All those personalities, and egos spelled disaster from the word go

If coaching at UF caused Meyer to have heart problems, I can't imagine what coaching at the factory of sadness will do to him.

Things are looking up in Cleveland, they have had the same QB for the last two seasons....a lot better than the 4 game average.
