After reading several posts about officiating, I have a question.

OSU game a reciever made an great catch on the sidelines and was later ruled completed because his hand hit the ground before coming down out of bounds.

How can a running back use his hand on the ground to keep their balance to gain more yardage and not be ruled down??

No, he shouldn't be. And he got hurt this season by losing 2 juniors (who were both unheralded recruits) to the NBA draft and having 2 big men transfer out. Even if they couldn't provide much offensively we could have used those guys size in the post. And now he loses Lamonte, who may not have been providing much offense, but was 11th in the nation in assists. And then didn't get Plavsc eligible.

UT is not to the point where it can lose 4 starters to the NBA draft, lose 2 big men to transfer, and then lose its starting PG, and not struggle.

But there is some reason for optimism if Vescovi is eligible to play starting Jan.11, which gives Barnes a legit PG with international experience.
Going to need you to take all that logic and drop it off at the Goodwill. We got people angry that Barnes almost left for UCLA and got a big paycheck and this teams' struggles are the ammo they need to reinforce the feelings they are all up in. Make sure you get a gift tag for your taxes.

I had the same question.

Hand down before foot went out. Had nothing to do with being down. That scenario he established being in bounds.

A RB puts his hand down is okay. If his forearm or elbow touches he’s down.

I am not sure of your definition of raw. He is will below his ceiling if that is what you mean. He needs to get physically stronger. His shot needs a lot of work. But he is going to be a very good player. Good basketball IQ, great length, motor, good ball handling, aggressive, very competitive, embraces doing the small things. He is a young version of Prince. He has a chance to be better than him. Excited to see how he develops.

I agree. He is the type of player and one whose skill set plays well in today’s game. He is a 3 star freshman. Just like Grant Williams, Admiral Schofield, and Jordan Bone, he needs time and development. I am excited about him and Pons playing with the 5 stars next year.

Better check that rule again because this absolutely not a catch according to the rule.

As for the clemson catch and fumble that was overturned, they botched that call IMO.

Agreed. Clemson receiver had full possession of the ball and made more than one football move with the ball in his hands. DB did a great job of fighting through the receivers hands and causing the fumble.
