Wrong, easy to see coming huh, a 6'7 guy that couldn't shoot an outside shot to save his life who isn't incredibly athletic is easy to see leaving early?? Grant is one of my all time favorite vols but he wasn't exactly a lock by any means to leave earl. The ignorant conversation here is unnerving. I'm done with this ****. I'm done with volnation. Peace
Lol, he brought in Derrick Walker, Zack Kent and Yves Pons. How has that worked out? I stand by my comment, his recruiting 3 years ago, or lack thereof, is a reflection of how poorly we are this season. What??? Who are you going to recruit with 11 scholarship players on your team with nothing but a bunch of soph/fresh with Robert hubba as your only senior. Damnit man talk smart or don't talk at all.

Not everyone can handle Barnes' hard approach to coaching. Did I hear the story right that JJJ was about to quit after the first day of practice and Turner had to console him and tell him it was just the Barnes' way and he really loved him. ( Hope I didn't dream that.)Walker looked like he had some potential his freshman year. I don't know what happened there.
Kent should've never been offered.
This is false and shows you have zero idea how recruiting works, especially when it comes to the elite basketball world. Similar to Zo being here then bolting for Cal and immediately snagging 5 stars, while everyone here complains "I guess he was just lazy here, why didn't he do that here" etc. One thing that got reported was a booster refused to allow him to use a plane to go and recruit. You think that's the only thing that got cut?Lazy recruiting that year by Barnes is killing us this year

She was referring to Turner...they were discussing JJJ taking over to LT and turner said biggest thing is to know CRB loves you, that he was ready to quit after Day 1 but he’s gonna push you because he loves you.One of the girls calling the game yesterday said it.
Misheard I guess but was just making the point that some of these guys like Walker left because they couldn't handle the hard coaching. I think Parker was another. She was referring to Turner...they were discussing JJJ taking over to LT and turner said biggest thing is to know CRB loves you, that he was ready to quit after Day 1 but he’s gonna push you because he loves you.
**sure doesn’t sound like someone who is pissed off at CRB it alienating himself from the team**
There were a lot more factors involved. Even success has to be factored in. Losing Bone and williams early was due to Barnes' success. i would however think that a guy with 30 years experience shouldn't be in this position year 5 and it doesn't help that Bruce went to a final 4 in year 5 and we're starting over.Lazy recruiting that year by Barnes is killing us this year
I don’t think that’s why walker left, but maybe...I think he wasn’t getting minutes, actually declined in Year 2, saw Uros coming in and Burns working him in practice...if he knew what was to come not sure he would’ve left.Misheard I guess but was just making the point that some of these guys like Walker left because they couldn't handle the hard coaching. Starting over would mean what it was when he got here, 2 years of no tourney at all, I don’t think that’s going to be the case...I would expect us to be pretty good next season. There were a lot more factors involved. Completely fair point. Really disappointing that we could miss the tourney in year 5 especially after the last two years.
