This why Kirby doesn’t scare me.

Ha! I love the area and hate the team. I have to admit the UGA campus is one of the best for tailgating that I have seen. Right up there with Auburn.
Same here. It's a beautiful area, there, and around here, I have just learned to hate the dawgs. Wife is a dawg fan, everyone at work, church, and they rub in the wins. Makes me mad😄.

Jacob Eason is a likely an NFL first round pick, Fields a potential Heisman candidate and Kirby chose Fromm, a poor man’s Greg McElroy. Kirby is a good DC and recruiter, poor head coach.

There is literally no way you go back to Eason after Fromm’s experience and record replacing him after Eason’s injury.

Maybe if Fromm tanked vs Bama in title game, you pull him like hurts and Tua, but there is no way you can criticize Kirby on picking Fromm over the other two. Especially with the track record Fromm had after his sophomore year.

Eason will be a first rounder but it isn’t like he lit up the Pac 12 like he should have been given the hype

Poor mans Greg McElroy.. smdh. Fromm is a very good college qb. Mcelroy was the definition of game manager on an elite team. Fromm is head and shoulders better than McElroy. Fromm was a better fit in Chaney’s offense than Eason. Feilds has looked all world against the big ten, that doesn’t mean he would’ve been nearly as good against sec competition (see Troy Smith).

Even worse...my kids like UGA. My daughter will straight up cheer for them 1st. Can’t blame her thought. My wife has some pretty strong ties with the team. My son will at least pull for UT when they play but still likes the dawgs.

I would bet a substantial amount of money that he won't be a 1st round pick. I don't think he will be a second round pick.

Are there 6 qbs ahead of him in draft rating? Eason is head and shoulders above Fromm. End of story.

All that means is a bunch of teams think they can take his size and arm and turn him into an NFL QB - which may very well happen. But in college, he’s a mid level PAC 12 QB. That’s all

Fromm beat out Eason head to head, Kirby didn’t pick anyone. Based on what we saw from Fields last year, I can see why Kirby let him walk at the time. Fromm regressed this year, but I still think he’s a really good QB.

Kirby doesn’t scare me either, but I can’t say with a straight face that he mishandled their QB situation.

Any way you cut it, Eason is an NFL talent and Fields is at least a very good college qb. Fromm has not regressed, he is what he is not what UGA fans thought he was.
180 yards a game career
Completion % in low 60s
Doesn't throw a ton of INTs or TDs
A solid running game manager

As opposed to Fromm that lacks size, arm, athleticism, or any QB dependent skillset that translates into the NFL.

GA fans would love this thread. Vol fans trashing the coach they ain't scared of b/c he's had 3 elite QBs to choose from and in our opinion, he chose the worst. Then followed up by a trip to Atlanta and collossal 2 loss season. All this after barely squeaking by the Vols 2 years in a row by only 30 or 40.points each time. Last year we not only got shut out in a 41 point loss in front of our home crowd, but the worst humiliation was Mr. Non- scary taking his foot off the gas for the 4th Q, so it wouldn't look even worse!

I dread the day that UGA gets a coach that scares y'all. I can't even fathom what that's gonna be like. This is PRECIOUS guys! 🙄

Post December NSD he has 3 5* recruits trending Georgia including Washington. He scares me due to that...until we can flip that trend our way they will always be in the hunt for SECe championship.

Fromm’s QB rating in his 3 years at UGA are 160, 171, and 139.
Eason’s QB rating the last 3 years are 120, 90, and 143. Advantage Fromm

The premise of this thread is silly.
Kirby will always recruit well and be at the top of the division. I look forward to having a heavyweight puncher's duel every year for the division crown.

A heat Eason should have started over Fromm, Kirby went with the fans choice.
Fields should have had a chance last year.

Kirby went with the right choice. The kid who came in as a true freshman and lead team to the title game..... especially given after Eason hardly played any once healthy again....
There was zero reason to bench Fromm once Eason was healthy.

You had me until Fromm is better anything than Eason.

Neither Eason or Fields got a fair shake. Eason never got a chance after his injury.
