To my knowledge he hasn't said one way or the other yet.

If he is projected high in the draft (he certainly has the body and skills to be) he should go to the NFL and get paid while he can. I just don't how teams will react to his health condition. He wasn't practicing with contact here. Would NFL teams let him do that? Doubtful.

Many teams may want to see him go 2 years without any blood clot issues before they throw a pile of cash at him. When he is 100 percent healthy he is the best Offensive linemen in the country. He is one of those rare talents that could have gone straight from high school to the NFL if rules would have allowed it.

He’ll get a chance, but I’d be shocked for an NFL team to spend a high pick on a guy that could have to hang it up at anytime. My understanding is he has a regimen of cycling on and off blood thinners, which is why he can’t have contact during the week.

I think he’s first round talent but his health status would scare most teams. All draft projections I’ve seen don’t have him On it, so any developments will be interesting to see

Yeah, it's simply a business decision for the NFL. Will they want to change the way they do things for one player or move on to someone requiring less maintenance? If he does go, I hope he does well but I could see teams being afraid of the risk. On the other hand, it only takes one team willing to give him a shot. Hope he does well whether it's football or something else.

I think there is a player playing for the Chargers (?) that is playing with a similar condition.

Derek Henry has non contact all week. Then plays on Sunday.It can be done.

RB is different than OL. You don’t want your backs getting hit but there’s only so much OL can do non-contact. Teams do very little real contact during the season as it is so if Trey is missing out on that, I don’t know how a NFL team would view that.

He hasnt been a 1st round pick in any mock drafts that I've seen. He is rated as a top 10 guard in the draft by Kiper and McShay. My guess if he goes hes a 2nd or 3rd round pick. If he comes back and stays healthy and has a good year he's probably a top 10 or 15 pick next year. Whatever he decides I respect it and wish him the best of luck

Yeah, I think you're correct.

I may be wrong, but I don't feel like it was/is a recurring condition he's dealing with. That may be the difference, but again, I may be wrong. I don't keep up with the NFL as much as I do college football.

Russell Okung us the guy you are referring to. Okung is a LT for an immobile QB so he gets a lot more leeway than a OG would get....

With ? Marks hanging, he has to go get paid if a decent offer is in the mix.

He's going, his stock will never be higher with his medical condition. He's easily the best talent on the interior line available. If he falls to the lower half of the first round, someone will take him before he comes back around for the second.

I'd be surprised if there is not one team that would be willing to take the risk to get an elite roadgrader who plays with an attitude.

Of course they’ll take the risk. That isn’t the question. The question is will a team risk a high draft pick.

II thought we were talking about him as a high round draft pick since he is not likely to leave early if he isn't. Trey showed this season he could control it and there already is a precedent.

I don’t feel selfish in saying I hope he stays. It doesn’t effect the outcome here... this guy obviously loves UT and probably feels like there is some unfinished business to be had on the Hill. I think he stays.
