That's always been the most overhyped thing about Mullen. Getting to number 1 for a few weeks and promptly showing you were overhyped isn't any better than UK dropping the ball last season against us. That was a product of divisional hype working for State and divisional bias working against UK (the East topped the West in Ws and Ls last season and has been running even with them for a while - had UK been in the West they'd have gotten overhyped more than they were).

Neither brought home any hardware to show for a very good season. I think that State team was slightly better than the UK team despite State not doing anything more than UK did. However, UK had no one special on last season's team (a handful of decent draft picks but no game changers) whereas MSU was not only loaded on their lines and on defense but also had Dak Prescott. State was also cheating every bit as much as OM. UK doesn't appear to be doing any more than the usual recruiting dirty business that everyone engages in.

UK was 10-3 last season and in the stronger division. They finished ranked 12th in the AP and 11th in the Coaches. He was in his 6th season.
MSU was 10-3 the year they were ranked 1 and in the stronger division. They finished ranked 11th in the AP and 12th in the Coaches. He was also in his 6th season.

I built my daughters playground last weekend with the help of my brothers. I am beyond glad that we did it last weekend and I didn’t try to do it myself this past week. They were paid heavily in beer.

U should have gotten them a 1 year subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club since thats the gift that keeps on giving the whole year
