Volly and the failed as a guy girl are both right. Jello Salad and Jello fruit mold, my mom and grandmothers all made versions of both. The salad was dipped out of a bowl with a big spoon and the mold was sliced. They also made the Jello buttermilk salad that was usually orange or lime and cut like a pie.

It was made with all different flavors, but my mom and grandmas made orange or lime mostly. Probably a Betty Crocker thing. I do remember strawberry too but not often. I hated it as a young kid, but grew to.really like it as I got into my teens. Would kill for some right now.

Loved all of those jello molds, cakes as a kid.

My mom made one with tomato soup, green peppers, and almonds. You serve it with sociable crackers. Also loved the pistachio one with pecans and pineapple.
