To Protect and to Serve II

I've never been arrested, but I have had the pleasure of being treated as a criminal by the police. I'm guessing that you've broken way more laws than I ever thought of.
so you believe all law enforcement is the same based on some random encounter where you got butthurt at being stopped?

You're jerks and use any chance you can to "protect" yourself. You're a coward and you won't do anything without being in an overwhelming force situation.
Even with overwhelming force, such as the case in question, it still seemed to hinder them from making a reasonable arrest. You had 2 or 3 Leo's with guns drawn while the guy had his back to them and was on his knees with both arms extended...

You think every person that speaks negatively of the police has had “run ins” so what’s the difference?
No I don’t. I recognize when someone has irrational hatred though. It’s usually due to some encounter 10 years ago where they met some officer who was a jerk or they simply lacked the understanding of law and police procedure to fully get what was going on

Is there anyone in this country that hasn’t had a “run in” with cops?
You just put your finger on to something and may not have realized it. It would be very hard to find one individual over the age of 21 that has NOT had a run in with the cops. That lets you know right there that you are in a police state. Cops are always poking, prodding and itching to write a ticket or shoot off a round.

Lol or sometimes they’re just jerks.

You don’t think that a subject has ever pulled a gun on an officer after getting on his knees? They didn’t know if he had a gun on him. The minute he stood back up and tried to enter the business the k9 took him down. Standard procedure. Quite elementary training really
OK, Tackleberry... let's say this guy did have a gun. Walk me through what would have been the likely scenarios for the cops in that situation.

Does releasing the dog remove the threat of a gun on the assailant?

The dog controls and distracts the subject thus giving the officers the upper hand. I suggest you do a citizens academy sometime to see how police actually train and work

Those cops were not moving fast enough to indicate to me that they were concerned about this guy being an armed threat. The dog attacked and those guys were walking up like they were sneaking up on the last doughnut in the box. There was no sense of urgency in any of their movements.

You mistake caution for lack of urgency.

We're actually having this conversation now? Who do the cops write the ticket to... the car owner or Elon Musk? Thank goodness we have cops out here making the streets safe from rolling stops...

1. Is carrying a gun and smoking marijuana justification for a cop arrest in 2019? Where are my 2A advocates? What about all of the marijuana legislation passing in state houses all across the country?
2. Does what a passenger says during a traffic stop carry weight with an officer? How does a dumb friend or angry woman impact a traffic stop where the cause of the stop was a busted tail light or lane change with no signal?
3. Name the times where it IS justified for a police beat down?
4.

Big difference between should be and is.
I once got my ass beat by police because of mistaken identity. I was lucky it wasn’t worse. It could have easily been worse if I hadn’t been very compliant. being smart might be the difference between an ass beating and being dead. You can bitch all you want but this is never going to change so you better think about survival if you find yourself in a bad situation with a cop.
