I have been preaching through I Peter but took a break from that just for today and took the Luke 2 passage.

I am at Kimball Baptist. Beautiful Church and wonderful people. The lady that plays the piano walks in ask me if I was going to the Gator Bowl. I said, oh your the one that the Lord said was going to give me their tickets. LOL We had a good laugh but she isn't giving them up. lol

You will love this. The reason I took a break from it was because I am at I Peter 3: 1 - 7. About woman being submissive. LOL BUT if you study the passage he is talking to the wives in the Church who were going about the wrong way to win their husbands to the Lord. They were going back to the way they dressed when they were lost. Peter was saying your appealing to their depraved nature and the Holy Spirit doesn't work through that. One of my point and I do break down each verse is that you can win them without saying a word. Just by living out who you are in Christ.

I haven't said much about what I do and there was a reason for it. I lived in a glass house with a dad that was really well know as a minister. I couldn't go to any state to any Baptist Church that hadn't heard of my dad. So you kind of lay low if you will cause you do get weary of the, oh you good as your dad? or oh your his son. LOL But since his passing I just come out of the closet. HAHA!

He is my favorite. I think he's the Charles Spurgeon of our generation. He has taught me more than anyone

Yeah, those guys are fantastic. Sproul has been as influential to me as MacArthur. You weren't by chance at the Steve Lawson conference in Chattanooga back in the spring, were you?
