In all honesty the VQ guys don’t have a clue 99%. The staff doesn’t tell them anything and that’s their gripe about this staff. I still think everyone is just guessing/speculating at this point. If something would have changed I think AV would have dropped in. I promise you AV knows who he signed to so I take it as a good sign that we haven’t heard anything.

Here’s how I’m coping with this decision. I look at it like this: an NFL team is picking 5th and 17th in the draft. They’re biggest need has been met with the 5th pick. All of a sudden at the 17th pick, the 3rd best player in the draft is available and you never thought he’d get this far. So you take him even though that position isn’t a priority.

If DW picks Ga, fine. He’s an incredible TE and athlete but not our most desperate position of need. I want him to want us but if not, it won’t be devastating. I mean, after all, it’s Ga. The place where talent goes to die.

There are no definites at the moment, but CBN has me feeling confident. Besides, why would Washington want to join that UGA offense? It is absolute trash. Who will be throwing him the ball? Smart and Coley has to be one of the worst offensive minds combo in the NCAA.
If he does go elsewhere, UGA is better than Bama, as he won't be utilized in that prehistoric offense.

I don’t think we got “played” at all. I think DW has handled his recruitment very well. Hardy, now he played us. DW has never told anyone publicly he was signing here. He hasn’t led us on publicly. Now, it may come out that he lied behind the scenes but that’s playing the recruiting game. But publicly, he seems to have handled this as well as anyone.

So let’s connect some dots here. Washington only says he has signed. He did not have to show up to the Marietta game last night. I’m sure there were only a couple other things to do in the Vegas area than go to a high school game televised on ESPNU that looked like it had no one there. There were no other UGA commits at the game and it is well documented via IG that DW had a good conversation with HB. HB is now the only recruit from either school that is pushing for him that has had actual contact. Also again DW made a choice to go to the game and made a choice to go talk to HB.
