I liked the gray unis- however, the way we played in them...suuuucked.

BLACK JERSEYS ANYONE?!?!?!? I would buy a crate of black and orange jerseys just to send one to the ol' ball coach every year until he dies. Mwa Ha Ha Ha!

They would be more interesting if you knew which player wore the particular helmet, but that’s still way too steep for me.

I loved the grey uniforms. There should be specific games on the schedule where the players vote to wear either all grey with the grey helmets or all orange.

No. It was the Music City Bowl win over Nebraska. We didn't wear them in Butch's last year.

Edit: Nevermind, I forgot we wore them against Georgia in 2017.

I guess I blocked that one out, I thought the Music City Bowl was the last time we wore them. I also think I was getting the second Smokey Grays confused with the first set, because in 2014 we didn't wear them and Butch had sad something about "earning" the right to wear them again and I guess I was thinking that was 2017. Of course 2014 it turned out we didn't wear them because they changed them to the horrible ones that never saw the light of day.

I still can't hate them because of how much fun I had at Neyland watching us beat Florida for the first time since I was 8. That's funny you mention that variant we never wore, I wonder if they were ever actually in production
