Aubrey Solomon, dinged up to end the regular season, looked fine, same for Latrell Bunphus. Rocker wanted more out of both John Mincey and Savion Williams during the drill but he did give Matthew Butler and Ja’Quain Blakely some praise.

Quavaris Crouch spent the opening portion of practice with the tailbacks before joining the outside linebackers.

Notably, with Brandon Kennedy (knee) out, Jerome Carvin took at reps at center. Jackson Lampley was the No. 2 center. Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Kingston Harris was working at offensive guard Monday. It’s the second time Harris has switched sides of the ball. Pruitt watched freshmen Wanya Morris and Darnell Wright work on their pass sets for a while, offering tips to both players. With no Ryan Johnson or Marcus Tatum, Ollie Lane was the backup right tackle.

I didn’t see much of routes on air but redshirt freshman wideout Cedric Tillman, who was absent Saturday, was back out there Monday. Jarrett Guarantano was easily the sharpest of the quarterbacks. The new practice field configuration (they moved the fields over some 10-15 yards to use the better sod) made it difficult to see some of the drills. Jauan Jennings did have one circus catch and Josh Palmer skied for a slant over the middle.

Brandon Kennedy was absent from practice, and as a result, Kingston Harris found himself working as the second team left guard behind Trey Smith.
The starting offensive line through drills consisted of Wanya Morris at left tackle, Smith at left guard, Jerome Carvin at center, K’Rojhn Calbert at right guard, and Darnell Wright at right tackle.
While freshman outside linebacker Quavaris Crouch took his normal reps with Chris Rumph and the outside linebackers, it wasn’t until after he received teaching points from Jim Chaney, who was working with the quarterbacks and running backs at the beginning of practice. Crouch worked with the running backs during the first period of the open portion.
After being absent for Friday’s practice because of graduation, Jauan Jennings and Marquez Callaway returned to practice. Jennings had a great catch.
Jarrett Guarantano took the first reps at quarterback as expected. Brian Maurer went second, and JT Shrout went third. All three quarterbacks looked fine throwing the football, but Guarantano was the most consistent.

The Vols had starting right guard Jerome Carvin, reserve guard Riley Locklear and redshirting freshman Jackson Lampley involved in the period with the quarterbacks and running backs to get extra work on snaps, both under center and in the shotgun. Typically the period has only the quarterbacks and running backs on mesh points. Clearly, though, Tennessee is trying to get its alternative options at center as much work on snaps as possible this month.
Jahmir Johnson was present and practicing after missing Friday's practice for personal reasons.

Redshirt freshman Kingston Harris was working with the offensive line on Monday.
Harris came in as a defensive lineman and played there the first two games of last season before moving to the offensive line and spending the entire 2018 season there until moving back to the defensive line the week before the regular-season finale.
One notable absence from practice on Monday was freshman tight end Sean Brown as Brian Niedermeyer's group had included seven players: Dominick Wood-Anderson, Austin Pope, Andrew Craig, Jacob Warren, Jackson Lowe and freshman Hunter Salmon.
Freshman Ramel Keyton continues to get work out of the slot, something to potentially keep an eye on with Jennings moving on after this season.

We won't hear anything about it but I expect that our O will install a trick play or 2 just in case we need it in our Bowl game.

Sure is nice saying we're going to a Bowl game again.

With all the youngsters on our Team we sure can use the 15 extra practices to improve and work on consistency.

THANKS Fingers for all you do for us!!!

Wonder what's become of Sean Brown?

Also, next year's OL depth is horrifying if we don't get Kennedy back and Trey bounces. Tatum should probably stick around; he's going to get plenty of reps.

Why would we not get Kennedy back?

Its crazy how much it helps my moral knowing that the off season wont be quite so long again this year. Makes the end of the year so much better when the Vols are going bowling. Go Vols.

It's likely that we will, but it's not like we shouldn't have any worry at all given how arbitrary the NCAA decision making process can be.
At least wait until after the Taxslayer bowl to start looking for the black cloud behind the silver lining. There are at least a couple of OL that red shirted this year that are supposed to be pretty good after the time in the weight room and a year of learning the system. IF they can't play next year, then worry. WE don't even know, at this point, what Smith or Kennedy's status will be next year.
