The nation's No. 17 overall prospect recounted his sixth visit to Tennessee. He got to watch bowl practice and spend time with Niedermeyer, Pruitt and Chaney. He thinks the TE can be a real factor in Chaney's offense, mentioning Hunter Henry as an example. Said he thought DWA would've been really productive with another year in the system.

I pressed Darnell, but he said he has not made a decision yet. His family clearly likes UT. He will decide on Tuesday night where he's going — listing UT, UGA, Bama and Miami as the four main contenders. While the SEC is the likely choice, he said he had a great in-home visit with Miami.

Still, based on all intel, this is a UT-UGA battle.

Washington will sign Wednesday but keep his signature a secret until Jan. 2 at the UAA Game.
