The Atlanta Braves

The tweet took a bit to load and I thought I had brought JD back with me for a second there. :( I’m just glad Charlie Clutch is back. It does seem rather disrespectful but maybe it frees up money to sign Ozuna or some other big time cleanup hitter if we don’t re-sign Donaldson.
Read an article article saying they would probably want one of Folty or Fried, and then Riley and one of Wright, Wilson, or Anderson

Phillies were in talks, but the Cubs wanted Robles so they were out

I saw that about Fried from the guy who covers the Cubs for ESPN. I'm hanging up the phone if I'm AA and it comes to that!

What is the most you are giving up for two years of KB? I'm offering Wright, Anderson, Folty and one of Riley/Camargo and tell them to take it or leave it!

I think this is a more than fair deal.

Wright - Could end up being only a bullpen arm.
Folty - Headcase
Riley - I like him but will he ever be able to notice a breaking ball?

Anderson could end up being the only real loss and for two years of the only player in baseball history to win college player of the year, minor league player of the year, rookie of the year and MVP and do so in four straight years. Sign me up!

We can’t be giving up pieces to our rotation, including Folty. We need him.

We'd still have Soroka, Fried, Hamels and Touki, Newcomb, Wilson and Weigel to battle it out for the last two spots in the rotation and that is not even factoring that AA is a master of finding someone in the mold of Aníbal Sánchez off of the scrap-heap on a one-year deal. If we can get a deal done to acquire KB without losing Fried, Pache or Waters, Lord Have Mercy!

I cannot believe this is a real life post related to trading for Kris Bryant

We can make a Kris Bryant trade without trading away Folty. My overall point is I don’t want to trade current rotation pieces away when we have plenty of prospect capital to trade for.

If Folty ends up being in the rotation for meaningful games then we're all going to be walking into the ocean anyway.

I guess I forgot game 4 of the 2018 NLDS and game 2 this past year (yes he has had two clunkers too).

But we need good pitching for the regular season too. I mean if it’s Folty/Ender for KB and that’s all we have to do then yeah I’m fine with that. But I’d rather give up prospect capital (guys like Touki/Wright/Wilson whatever) than give up a legitimate ace pitcher in 2018 and the final two months of 2019 once he found his slider.

I might not start out by offering Folty up but I sure wouldn't let him be an impediment to getting a deal done. He's a 28 year old pitcher with only one good season under his belt whom the team only controls for two more seasons anyway. At some point the Braves have to move on from thinking about his potential and just look at what he is.
