'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

You guys are talking like he has to graduate or he won’t play.. I don’t think it would be out of the realm to say he could be granted immediate eligibility

-moving back to his hometown
-position coach gone
-brother at the school
-family has money; they can lawyer up

He has more of a case than Aubrey Solomon did.
Surely someone in his family is battling skin cancer as it’s so prevalent in the TN sunbelt? Any recruit who wants to transfer close to home doesn’t need much imagination to find a valid health reason with a parent or grandparent. I read the other day that 70% of men over age 80 have some level of prostrate cancer? His family just needs to be smart about their transfer application IMHO. I would think Hippa laws would hand cuff the NCAA into accepting anything a family says concerning health?

Man there is so much misinformation and assumptions about what happen in his recruitment.

Everybody actually involved in the recruitment has gotten over everything, whether those are real or perceived slights. Everybody else should do the same.
Not me! I remember it like it was yesterday and will never forget him walking onto the sidelines during the Colorado st game, kicking Smokey, giving Neyland the DX crotch chop, ripping off his shirt to reveal a UGA shirt underneath and walking out of Neyland...
🤥
GBO!!

So i was talking to the Memphis Trio, and they’re trying like heck they’re trying to get him there for the lunch with the Memphis Trio and Jay Hardy. He’s been in constant communication with them and knows them really well from his time playing high school ball. I’m not saying he’s coming but he might. I’ll keep letting you know everything i hear

None of that is true, and i have no sources. I just wanted to feel like OD for a second. I didn’t like it

So this guy spits on the Vols every chance he gets, and probably 75% of VN still would not take his little brother because of it, but all of a sudden, VN would welcome him back with open arms? I guess the parable of the lost son is in play here.

I say.. stay at UGA big fella. Would rather have dudes who want to be here. (As with all of my "lame" material, this is just my opinion, and does not reflect the owners of this thread  )

Never got anything close to that feeling. Seems to me that Coop's been a popular recruit, especially because of his tweets and peer recruiting; it's easy to see where his heart is, and folks feel that connection.

Tbh, outside of his well publicized indiscretion, I don’t really fault the kid. UT was in complete dysfunction at the time, our OL sucked and wasn’t getting developed. A kid with NFL potential has to consider that.

I don't fault anyone for not choosing Tenn, but a legacy kid going to an SEC east rival is nearly unforgivable. Transferring here and playing well would make it forgivable, lol

Georgia is our biggest recruiting rival imo. How does it look to recruits like Washington and Ratledge for a NFL bound OL to transfer from there to here for his final season? Yea, I say we bring him back if he wants to come just for the optics.

Your opinion is fine and honestly, if he weren’t a capable lineman that could hurt our rival by leaving, I wouldn’t want him back either. As someone else stated, the optics of this would be HUGE for Tennessee. It would also take a ton of grit for Cade to come Tennessee, given the history.

If he wants to transfer here then he does want to be here. Quit being lame.

Coop is my favorite recruit... Gonna be a stud center or guard.
He is going to be a great Center for us for years, hope he redshirts and Kennedy stays healthy next year. Gets in his 4 games to get some experience and keep bulking up. He already is strong for his age and size.

Totally agree... We definitely need Kennedy back.🤞

I never had that feeling either about Coop. Didn't care for Cade's disloyalty and disrespect however.
