Horowitz just said (this is paraphrased) that almost no chance that the 17 documented mistakes by the FBI were innocent. He also agreed that people at the FBI need to be fired and there needs to be a culture change. He also made sure to reiterate that this report doesn’t exonerate Comey or McCabe.

This is far from over.

Luther, you might look at the "big picture" but for me it's all about what is best for me and my family. If I have a choice of reasonably low tax rates, full employment and no wars that's what I'm taking.

I’m not sure. If the documents backed up what they said? Probably not.

Even without the documents, it would weaken the case significantly, and would drain a lot of the public support, but you’d still have the fact that the aid was frozen, Mulvaney’s press conference, the transcript of the phone call, and testimony of all of the other witnesses.

If it wasn't political I would agree with you, but I believe they were going to impeach from the time they opened the investigation no mater what.

I‘m not saying that they had pure motives or that it was objective from the start, but if they didn’t have the public support that it has, I don’t think they would do it. (See e.g. the mueller investigation).

I agree that part of the Democratic party is not good either. It's risky business taking huge amount of money from the people who provide most of the jobs in this country. As I've said, I don't think the free stuff and open border lunacy will get past the Southern states in the primaries. Then there is the probability that Bernie people will take their ball and go home--either vote independent or not at all.

OTOH, I feel like we've been dodging bullets for four years. Trump tells Ukraine president and ambassadors to talk to Rudy. (a guy who has friends like Igor and Lev, and seems to have acquired a drinking problem or dementia) He thinks Rocket man is his best friend (who now says denuclearization is off the table and has a Christmas surprise) and feels Putin is more reliable then our intelligence agencies.

Trump fires anyone who disagrees with him, so you have people supporting him who won't say he is wrong, -- weather maps will be changed because of his fragile ego.
