Getting a big win here in memphis is huge. We've had some teams where we got a few memphis guys here and there but if we can make a legit inroads on creating a real pipeline that will affect everything. I think some of the credit here should be shared between Barnes and Pruitt making serious effort to make inroads recruiting there. It will be interesting to see how recruiting out that way goes the next few years in FB and BB.

Getting Memphis D1 kids is a double swing. For every one we get it keeps them off another SEC team's rloster, a true win win.

Somewhat true but in places where we don't normally recruit well or at all, such as Memphis it becomes more solid. Ark, Ole Miss, Miss St, and Bama usually do better in Memphis than we have up until recently.

Also knew that some of them had troubles with grades Ect

Then there is the fact some VN'ers feel Memphis players are all thugs and we're better off without them. Yes, that was stated in blunt terms. In general, east Tennessee folks' attitudes toward west Tennessee people is more than a bit on the hostile side. especially if they make a misstep of almost any kind.

I don't think it will make much difference. Pruitt has done a great job here obviously. Since Pitmann was hired, I would look for Tosh to come aboard.

Sadly, some of the players playing for LSU are there as much due to the incompetence of the former Tennessee staff (Phillips- Thigpen forgot about him) than it is anything else.
