Welcome Indiana Fans!

What happened to Penix? I watched the MSU game night before last. I had caught a few minutes of various IU games during the season but haven't followed closely.

Penix is a good looking player. But honestly... UT plays QB's as good or better than him with better supporting casts in about half their games or more. Nice arm. Very good with the screens and short throws. But not scary. Really like your TE though. He's a really good looking player.

I'll try to catch some later games to see Ramsey.
Penix tore his acl last season. He was not cleared until fall camp. He was unable to put in the off-season work necessary to pack on the mass he desperately needs. So this season he was just to slight to take hits in the big ten. He suffered an AC joint injury. (Player landing on collarbone) and is out for the season. He’s been a bit injury prone due to his slender build, but games he has been in the offense just runs with his arm. He has a lot of velocity and can make the necessary throws to run the offense. when he went down he was ranked as a top 15 qb nationally (forget which metric system was used). Ramsey has a noodle arm and lives off the dink and dunk. Cannot make the sideline throws or get YAC because defenders make up ground by the time the ball reaches receivers. It truly limits what our offense runs. Teams tend to stack the box and dare Ramsey to make throws.

Must not have seen it all. Kentucky and Missouri are what an ugly campus looks like.

Actually ours had been for awhile. They are putting some bucks into improving it, and it is still a work in progress. One of these days, I hope they will replace that God awful ugly library. That thing is really an eyesore. One of our architecture students must have had substance abuse issues.

The description of Penix sounds a lot like Tennessee’s Brian Maurer.

This is probably a good thing. Just look at the behavior and condition of our society today. I for one wouldn't mind a 200-year time switch. People then had a bit more sense than people today. Maybe not much but enough to pique my interest in being in that era.

I attended an IU football game 8 years ago. Half the crowd or less of a UT game. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Their fans were supportive of the team and they had a few interactive type cheers that were fun. They didn’t seem to have the caustic overly critical element that can ruin a UT game if you’re sitting nearby. And their campus was beautiful on the fall day I was there.

Anyway, go Vols!

If we miss a field goal or PAT, expect the 2 or 3 IU fans to yell,— Air Ball Air Ball.
I admit that I heard that somewhere else.

Reminder that Mr. Indiana, Larry Bird, left IU after one year.

As far as a prediction. Our defense has been atrocious, and our offense limited by starting QB Peyton Ramsey. ( Named after Peyton Manning)!!
Look if your offense has sputtered at all lately or feeling a little down. Our defense is the cure all. We can’t out athlete you guys. We can’t out tough you on the line of scrimmages. I’m not as optimistic as say Vegas. We are young and with Michael Penix id say we got this. Unfortunately he’s on the sidelines in a sling, and my prediction is Tennessee 38-24
If I remember correctly, Penix was once a UT commit under Butch...but the new staff wasn't too high on him.

I feel attacked. :D

But can confirm that many of us did lol.

Can't say I've ever been to Indiana. The closest I've come is a friend took me to Calumet fisheries in south side Chicago. Amazing place. Best fried shrimp I've ever had. That being said the bridge right next to it apparently leads to Gary, IN. I was told not to cross that bridge lol.

Well, next time you stand in front of the stadium, fix your eyes on that library. The overall look of it is hideous. It may be functional. Don't know, haven't had cause to be in it since 1980. But the facade is obscene. Whatever yall were drinking, smoking, or however else you may have taken part? Stay away from that. This thing makes me wish they had dug deep and built most of it underground to also serve as a fallout shelter.

That library wasn't there in 1980. It opened in the late 1980s

Well I wasn't there until the late 90's, so I can't take credit for Hodges. That's 60's architecture for ya, so there was definitely some substances being abused.

I don't share your opinion, but to each his own. Cheers!

I didn't choose Tennessee because I thought it would be my best chance to become a Rhode's Scholar. I've got the rest of my life to be studious. I chose UT because of the football stadium, the fraternities, intermurals, Smokey Mountains, weather etc. As it turns out the science dept was awfully good due to Oak Ridge being nearby and attracting great talent but I didn't know that at the time.

College is the only time of your life where you've got hundreds of other single people just hangin' 7 days a week. That's your chance to party, date, drink and expand your horizons. That's part of the college education. I've made a lot of bad decisions in my life but my choice of going to school in Knoxville was not one of them. That was a very good decision on my part. Yeah, being a party school is a good thing.

If this is true I'm going to be physically ill........when I went there in the late 90s it was the #4 party school in the nation according to Sports Illustrated. These kids need to start putting down their dadgum phones and their tweeters and their snapchatters and MEET A REAL PERSON!!! Meet a few real people actually, then you go to a club or bar or someones house, you drink some beers (responsibly)........if UTK police are not making contact with you at least once a week saying you're too loud you're doing it wrong kids!!! how the mighty UTK has fallen.......😢😭View attachment 244022

You were already on the way down. When I attended in the late 80s we were eliminated from Playboy's Top party schools because they said, UTK was no longer amateur but had turned into a professional party school and they were tired of us being at the top of the list. :D
