You can take this self righteous BS and shove it up your A$$.

I’ve been supporting Tennessee Football with donations, ticket purchases, and attendance for 35 years.

I’m plenty fan enough and care greatly about this team.
I know...but you're kind of a d!ck about it...lol. 🤭t You're way crustier than I am..

I’m looking at it more from what they are built to do standpoint. I think they went recruiter first and i don’t think they are built to do that. At their best, They are never going to have a better roster than bama, LSU, or auburn. Texas AM is debatable. I would say the same thing about here. I don’t think a style like orgeron would do well here. I think it’s really important that we have a head coach who is proven on either side of the ball.
That's your problem. You are comparing them to the Vols. They're not on the same level in virtually any category as the Vols. They don't have the potential for success as the Vols. Young and up and coming coaches know this. That's why I think it is a decent hire for them. He's a hard-nosed coach that could have them decent in the trenches. This is a line of scrimmage league. Like Orgeron, if he hires the right coordinators and coaches he could field a competitive team. Time will tell.

Which is exactly the reason why we deserved a New Year’s Day bowl..you’re looking at through a narrow lens as “we should be content with what was given to us” and not looking at it as it’s much less than what this team earned.very shallow perspective to be honest.

You were one of the whiniest, most insulting posters about our performance, even when we were winning. Now you think we deserve a NY day bowl? Oh the irony. And you got a like on this post by another of the whiniest, most insulting posters.

After signing day.
Exactly! Well, I'm not happy to shake up any of the staff as it seems the ship is finally headed in the right direction, but I have no clue what goes on behind the scenes. I wonder if all of the posters saying let him go (about DJ) have thought about the possibility of the Memphis 3 de-committing?

If Tee leaves Tennessee to coach with Kiffin, who screwed us so bad, he will lose much of his equity with a lot of Vol fans, even if it is for the OC position. I will be forever grateful to him for 1998, so I would not wish him ill. There are many who would.

There are many that love LK so much that they will say it is a good thing.

Upgrading 1-2 Coaches in the offseason does not a “shake up” make...

But that’s my whole reason for thinking that. They aren’t on our level let alone that of LSU which is the only reason orgeron is doing all that great right now (that and they got lucky with burrow) So i think pittmans biggest strength recruiting will be neutralized. But like you say time will tell. Hopefully he does well and steals players from Alabama.

The reason I brought up Orgeron was because people including Hank, and including myself thought he would fail miserably. It was more of an indictment of Volnation's coach hiring prowess. My whole point is that no one knows whether he'll be successful or not. While he doesn't have the same OC pedigree that Fulmer did he does come from a similar background being an Online coach. He has more experience in that role than Fulmer did at the time and at more places. He's regarded as one of the best OL coaches in the country. Whether that translates to being a good head coach is yet to be determined.

A wide receiver coach that had never been a coordinator became head coach. I'm sure that one wasn't the most exciting hire but turned out pretty well for one fanbase.
