I think the background check failed in this example. Or a law needs changed. There's no reason anyone from another country here training should be approved for a gun purchase.
Why? We’re letting them fly fighter jets, drive tanks, and work with our military. If we don’t trust them with a gun what are they doing here in the first place?

Well my main reason is they aren't a US citizen so the #2A doesn't cover them.

I believe I read in Florida that non US citizen are not allowed to purchase a firearm unless they have a hunting license ( he apparently did have a valid hunting license ) so the background check worked as it was supposed to . He would have also had military clearance so unless something else comes up we haven’t seen yet , he was legally able to purchase the firearm and would have passed any background check . We can pass as many laws as we want to pass and tweak them every day , but we will never be able to legislate the evil in a persons heart . That’s just a cold hard fact .

Or we shouldn’t be training Saudis on our bases

LOL the laws "worked as it was supposed to". That's a retarded statement since it failed miserably. Exploitation of Gun Law loopholes championed by the 2A nuts is the foundation of the Democrat efforts to strengthen our gun laws. Weak gun laws is what you nuts wanted and the results are exactly what the Dems warned against. So he didn't buy his gun in one of the states with stricter gun laws, he bought it in a state that used state resources and money to make it easier to get one.

Championing for the loopholes have left you with egg on your face time and time again.

Nothing the Dems have proposed would have prevented this guy from purchasing the gun.

Ok, name one of their proposals that would have kept this guy from buying that gun.
Mandatory Background check on all gun sales. Must be an American Citizen to purchase a firearm. You know the common sense stuff shunned by the NRA, GOP, and frightened gun owners.
