I say this to all the Trump defenders here on this issue: By ignoring the obvious truth that Trump committed corrupt acts, and failing to support his removal from office, you are thereby not only putting man over office, but you are also granting future Presidents carte blanch to commit whatever self-serving acts they choose to do in their course of office. Unchecked. Total. Power.

In the long run, you are snipping the balls of our legislative branch in favor of short-term gain in the form of saving your embattled President.
