Our QB room will be the best in the SEC

I cannot take another 12 games in Club GTMO. I just can't. His metrics notwithstanding, we have a 24-28 point ceiling with him in at QB. On a good day. He holds the ball too long. He throws behind or low. He can't read a blitz.

Are your initials JC? Just curious

I think..........If JG comes back and HB signs...........BM and JS are gone.
Whatever...at end of the day, Vols need better performance than we got this year out of QB...don’t really care if it’s JG, BM, HB, JS. Transfer QB’s are all over the place. JMO, but JG, the MD transfer kid and HB is pretty good QB room if others transfer. Like JG play down the stretch, but still can’t have “no show” games like Vandy, regardless of weather...other teams play in bad weather too. If we get good QB play next year, w/ good OL play and stout D, we’re gonna be in pretty good shape.

Fans can't agree but I think it's clear who our starter is and deep down so does most of the Vol faithful. Bama has zero experience in their QB room this spring, Florida indeed does have a good room, GA losing Fromm leaves them starting from scratch as well. They all may be talented, but on paper and in the SPRING the Vols will have the fewest question marks and as much or more talent than anyone in the east for sure, save maybe Florida.
I get the SPRING thing, but Spring depth chart really doesn't matter does it? Besides, I'm pretty sure all of the commitments I mentioned are early enrollees.

What games did JG lose for Tn the last 3 seasons because of his bad play? What games the last 3 years would we have won with better QB play? Bottom line is that our record would not be much different the last 3 years with Fromm, Trask or Tua playing QB for the Vols. I also think we'd likely have a worse record the last 3 seasons with any of the QBs from SC, Texas A&M, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St and Arkansas.
You really believe this? If so, I can't take you seriously. I respectively agree to disagree.

Just so you know the word on the street in Athens is Mathis May never play a down after his brain surgery. Too high risk.
I didn't know that. Thanks. Hopefully all goes well health-wise with him. If Fromm leaves early, scratch Georgia from my list.

I never said it matters, simply said I thought the Vols would have the best QB room in the SEC come SPRING. We've got a bunch of fans that had rather view the negative over the positive. Anything positive really riles up the NegaVols!

Did you actually read the post that I quoted? I don’t care who it is either. I just stated that I don’t think the QB room will have all 5 in the spring, and who I think will be out.

Uh, ok. Never really considered myself a negavol, but ok. Just call it like I see it.

Would you take erik angie season as proof. He was 45% 5 td 7int. And he would be regarded pretty high
Was he successful? Did he win championships? Definitely was a good serviceable QB but never close to great and not much better production than JG when you look at the entire teams surrounding each.

I just learned that myself. I’m deep in the middle of dawg nation here so I get a lot of info from pretty reputable sources.

Yes, an I agree. Hurt feelings and egos aside, we just need a starting QB who will help us put W’s on the board...whoever it is...”win now” mentality in 2020...at least in the 8-9 win threshold. We need to worry about the starter and the back up...rest can have college careers wherever they choose, which hope is at UT if that suits them.

I didn't call you a NegaVol, but ok
Let's flip the narrative. I don't mean to trash our QBs, but JG has been wildly inconsistent, Maurer didn't finish a game, and Shrout can't find the field. Outside of Vandy and Arkansas, can you tell me anywhere our QBs would be starting in the SEC?

I wouldnt pay any attention to him, he's a self proclaimed expert on all things sports, medical, law etc. I only comment on his stuff to get a rise out of him because it's so damn easy and its entertaining to get him to dig his hole deeper. Apparently he doesn't realize how Google works so he continues to spew sh!t. It took me 2 minutes to Google d1 recruits from West Port.
I never said they were D1 recruits, dig a little deeper dufus.

Sorry, but not agreeing on this at all. Not counting Trask, I’ll give you at least five games...last year: SC, MZ, Vandy. This year: Ga St, BYU. Even if you take MZ out of it last year, that puts us at 7-5 last year, and 9-3 this year...entirely different conversatio and perception of the program. That being said, I’m thankful for JG’s come back.

Absolutely no hurt feelings at all.👍

I mean he did win double the games JG has. As well as has a winning record..whats JGs record??

Funny how you call his competition weak yet Edgewater gave Merietta everything they could handle this year. Did you even know THATS Maurers division that you call weak?
LoL, that game was never in doubt and never competitive. It was a clear case of a high school team emptying their bench in the 4th quarter because they were clearly the better team. And one offs are weak arguments, how many state champions out of Maurers district the last 40 years?
