A lot today can sing a little, then they add the effects. You hear them live, and it's horrible.

He's got to that age they start talking about this stuff. My MIL is 79, and Mom and Dad are 81. All talk about this stuff and it's the last thing I want to hear about.

I tell them to take a trip to Vegas and have a blast! Lol (that'll never happen).

Main thing is they have a current will and that their executors know where it is.

They're being responsible while forcing us to accept theirs and our own mortality. Sucks.

We'll prolly be telling our kids the same in the future.
We told our kids, back when we were still working and feeding the 401k's, that our inheritance gift to them would be that we could pay for our end years, including nursing homes, and that we therefore wouldn't turn up at their front doors with two suitcases and a cat carrier.

We have always teased the boys with "We wiped yours and someday you'll get to wipe ours." We say it just to see the look on their faces. Priceless!

Breaking news: they were supposed to do an mri on my wife, pelvis area. Dr's have said she shouldn't be having all the infection still, but she does, and a ct scan had shown something that the other Dr couldn't distinguish. Today before the mri, the Dr himself came and got her and said they needed to talk. He said he wanted to do another scan and xray, but not an MRI yet because he was afraid it was metal. They did, and he found it. Back years ago after little bit, she had this thing called ensuree, a type of birth control. They later removed it during her hysterectomy, or so they thought. Apparently some of it broke off, and has been inside her this whole time. The Dr said this very well could be the root cause of all the infection, even her bladder shutting down instead of the lupus. Now she's gonna have to have surgery to have it removed. Isn't that some crap? I know, tldr😄

I’m sorry to put a like on your post, but wow, if they have finally identified a root cause for so many of her problems, maybe even causing or contributing to the bladder issues, that’s huge.

And I’m not sue-happy either, but I have no sympathy for Big Pharma (Bayer in this case) and the shoddy way they treat people. Believe me, they have very deep pockets, and a settlement wouldn’t even be a blip on their radar.

Thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{hugs}}}}} for Tiffany and improved health!

I read one of the linked articles, which mentioned that the US is the last country where Essure was still available; in other words, sold.

Fascinating. I wonder why it stopped being available in every other country, but was still sold here until December of last year? And that was only after the FDA finally put restrictions on its sale earlier in 2018.

Oh, that’s right. Big Business is more important than people’s health and safety these days.

I saw that and read it to my wife. Even after complaints they were still allowed. Blows my mind. I kinda agree with the guy today, it could have been the cause of all of it.

After I read Joe's post, I asked my wife about the Essure device. The pain and the suffering these ladies went through is mind numbing. I am so glad that she never had any device implanted.

After all the copper IUD hub bub, I thought that metal devices were a thing from the distant past. Boy, was I wrong.
