Seriously though, if they had an offense they wouldn of been really tough. They were legit last year though, stoops does really well with the defensive lineman he gets. Eventually some other school is gonna pay his a crap ton of money to come revive their program too.

I'd be surprised if Hill is a big factor. If JG does stay, it'll probably be his job to lose, but Bailey and Maurer will compete hard for it. Shrout is the forgotten man. Seemed like he would transfer-- and he might-- but he could just decide to stick around, enjoy college and get his degree. I think his girlfriend is a big part of that. She's not going anywhere.

Yeah, Peyton lost because of politics. It's the most political award in all of sports, and ESPN had a lot more power back in those days, pre social media. They had this kind of attitude.

Every good defense he has played, he has played bad. Mizzou is the exception but they played no one so their stats were inflated. JG is inconsistent. He can be Peyton Manning one week and Peterman the next. Bailey can for sure take him over. I hope it is Maurer as he will have a year to learn the offense and get bigger, which is what he needed this year. He is a great kid though and we for sure do not end the year the way we did without him.

Curious to what teams you consider to be a good defense he played?

Imo florida and Georgia for sure have good defenses.

After that I’d day mizzu and Kentucky are next in line.

Yeah I agree but I think we all just want someone who is going to be consistent every game and after 4yrs in the program, JG has not proven that... we need a constant, stable presence at QB next season no matter who it is... I don't care what anyone says, we would probably have 2, maybe even 3 more W's if we had a stable, accurate QB this year.
