I was thinking about a comment Pruitt made earlier in the year about how thin we were at the start of the season, especially on defense, due to injuries, transfers, or whatever. That also forced some guys to play out of position.

I know Bituli was injured early. Gooden went down. Buchanan, I think we learned about in the summer. Thompson was suspended. Flowers broke his leg. Trey Smith didn't practice. Jordan Allen had a hip issue.

Will Ignont, Shanon Reid, Jacquez Jones, Terrell Bailey and Maleik Gray transferred.

Anyone I'm missing?

*Edits: Jordan Murphy transferred and I remembered that Garland missed about three weeks of practice while he was in the transfer portal.

Makes this season and what our defense has done the last 6 games more amazing. We are seeing just how good these coaches really are now.

Friend rocker and weinke all had groups that showed tremendous improvement through the year. Really every level on defense.

I don’t expect Saban to retire within the next 2-3 years, and by then I hope Pruitt has us rolling! However, if Pruitt were to leave us for Bama, I’m afraid I’d have to check out for awhile.

Very first post he made about French was obvious soon as I noticed the numbers in his handle. Then looked at his profile and it was confirmed.

I never knew about that number until someone pointed it out. But did think it was weird he said he wasn't quite 30 but 88 was his bday. Was gonna quote it and make fun of his math skills but he edited it before I got it. Then someone posted the urban dictionary definition and I understood why. Haha

Maybe wishful thinking on my part. But, I think CJP would not necessarily jump at the opportunity to follow behind little Nicky. I think he has some loyalty to Fulmer for giving him his first HC job and for supporting him thus far. The TN/AL game this year showed that he is now one of us...a VFL! Go Vols! Go CJP!
