First time in over a decade since I’ve been to go to a home game. My observations:
1) Stepping into the stadium still takes my breath away with its awe and splendor.
2) Nice to be around a lot of people who like the color orange
3) Fathers still take their sons to the game.
4) The stadium still leaks like a sieve
5) 3:30 TV breaks suck wind
6) Having a 12 x12 clear plastic baggie does not prevent you from getting frisked

7) the team looked like they came in believing all the media and message boards saying how we were going to stomp them flat and forgot to get ready to play.

8) Thank the Lord for Eric Gray and our D or that game was much closer

I think the weather played a factor In the O getting in an rhythm early. Once Gray broke out the coaches decided to coast until Vandy stopped him. Then they scored and the urgency set in. We answered immediately. Then coasted.

Wasn’t pretty but got the job done. No need to force running up the score in a cold heavy rain.

Agreed. Wasn’t impressed at all with how the team played although glad we got a win. Was really hoping they’d play a clean, complete game where all phases were clicking. Especially against a team we badly owed an ass whipping to. Didn’t happen. Qb was awful, too many penalties, fairly uninspired effort imo.

Defense played well except the one TD drive. I thought we'd throw it more but maybe the weather had something to do with that. Mason usually dials up his best effort for us. He didn't have the team this year.

JG was really struggling with accuracy and timing. I will give him a little bit of a pass. Throwing a wet football is tough.

5 false starts at home in game 12... no excuse for that.

There is always the need to run the score up. Thought process like this is why we will never be in the top 4. We should be a full head of steam until the clock reaches 0:00 in the fourth quarter for every game.

And into the wind. The INT definitely hung up in the air... but Palmer should have stepped up to the ball too. He kinda stood there just like he was catching passes against air.

Gimme a break. I get being aggressive and playing to win, but when the weather is bad and your offense seems a little out of sync, why risk more turnovers and giving the other team opportunities. We are not at a place of imposing our will on anyone. Do what you need to to get a win.

We controlled the game. When Vandy scored, we answered on the next possession. That is winning football.

Yea, Thank goodness we used a RB and a defense. It could have been ugly.
