His audience is fans of other teams looking for snarky sports-related entertainment. I get it. But like you hinted, I look at his record and doubt if it would be funny if it were our team.

I can't really argue against that I just think that the AAC has to present a stronger case than those conferences because they don't have the affiliation already. It's not fair but several of their teams should've landed in a p5 and/or kept p5 status when the Big East collapsed. Obviously, someone (or several someone's) don't want them to have that status and they're going to have to fight for it. I think they deserve it tho.
I agree with all that. I think the conference president is finally starting to make more noise after his last 2 years of silence making the UCF ad being the only one willing to make bold statements. People made fun of him for it but it elevated the whole conference from an afterthought to now people are paying attention.

I don’t want to re-ignite the whole Mike Leach debate. I’ve always just said I would love to see him at a program that isn’t a talent desert like Lubbock or Pullman, to see what he could do with some real athletes. If nothing else it would settle the question.

Would be fun to see him at Arkansas. I’d be a fan of him if he’s in the west
