Butch's insecurity and desire to be liked by the team allowed him to be swayed into turning the S&C program into something that was basically optional. He built up a very solid roster and didn't have the leadership or confidence to manage all of those egos. Another reason why he owes his huge buyout to Dobbs. Imagine him trying to deal with a diva of a QB instead of a Boy Scout like Dobbs.

Don’t really understand the Ubben hate. I enjoy reading his in depth reporting. It’s interesting that many that show disdain for him are pointing to his negativity towards the program when things weren’t looking great. Not a chance he was more negative after BYU than what I read on this very board.

He is a journalist, not a PR rep for the university. The reporting of news and how it is interpreted has become so twisted in this country over the past few years. It has nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with if what is being said aligns with the reader’s opinion.
Bye bye..

Yep

Everyone is entitled to pay for the content they want to consume. Posters disagree with some of his takes and are exercising their right to state their opinion and not purchase.

Most of the objection is due to pot shot tweets, not necessarily the articles themselves.

His product is to be sold to Tennessee fans. Recycling narratives of despair is not the best business model.

Confirmation bias is real, and for better or worse, fans want to be sold on hope in the program not signs of continuing to languish at the bottom

It is if you wanna be the patron saint of the LoM...too bad for him Adams has that job locked up, so he will have to settle for being the beloved little jerk mascot of the LoM...like a lil bald ankle bitin yappin chihuahua that you just want drop kick through the goal posts of life..

The reason we had so many injuries is bc we had full contact practices in season on thursdays and Fridays. The S/C program was basically the exact same as it had been. Only a few divas weren’t in there grinding everyday.

Would love to read an article about the difference between KNS coverage and Tuscaloosa times or whatever the crap they sell to people who can’t read in alabama @David Ubben
Tuscaloosa Times Headline:

Chaos Ensues At Local Piggly Wiggly

Coach Nick Saban caused a stir today by visiting a local Piggly Wiggly . The florescent lights created a halo around his hairplugs and he seemed to float through the aisles. Lucky fans were able to stalk him for most of the visit . Some fans got a treat when he used the restroom and luckily Intern Butch forgot to flush . Most Bama fans believe this can used as currency in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Nick signed a few autographs before Intern Butch reminded him they had to go to sacrifice some goats to himself.

You are misconstruing the criticism in an unconscionable way. Your "like" condemns you.
