Isn't it crazy that UT could legit have three 1st round picks in the 2022 draft?

Toot - top 15 pick barring injury. He will be in the NFL for a long time.
Wanya - top 20 pick if he continues to develop in the run game. His pass protection has been great lately (minus UAB :))
Wright - top 30 pick if he continues keep good body weight. I think his long term future is at RG.
Crouch is also a fringe guy once he develops some bonafide pass rush moves. He has so much potential.

Also, had a little birdie tell me that there is a decent chance Trey Smith may come back next year. His health is looking great and if he can make it one more clean season then he will 110% be a first round pick in 2021. Dude LOVES the Vols.

I did? I’ll have to go back and find it...in this thread?

I don’t despise you at all.

Edit: @JacketVol just found it - what I liked was the part about his tweet not being about the game. I just now saw where he said despise - I think he was actually talking directly about the poster who posted that tweet but none the less - my apologies. I didn’t read the entire post.
Yep I think I liked that post too and for the same reason. I don't despise Jacket either..lol

If you look closer at comparisons butches first two years look better. Recruiting was better, discipline was better. Truth is both second years had most of us excited
Yeah 2015 Vols were exciting. We looked dominant but couldn't hang onto leads. Then something awful happened during the 2016 preseason. It looked like no one on the team went through strength and conditioning

So we could potentially have Trey, Wanya, Brandon, and Darnell on the line again? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii we winning the East next year boys.

Going to Vegas for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party. It's my first time going and I have no idea what to expect. We are going to a night club that we paid VIP for one night. My question to Volnation is what are some fun things to do while there....besides the casino's of course.
Mob museum if youre into gangstaz

I say go for the money if he can get a team who would take him first round.......but if Trey Smith comes back next year, we might have one of the better offensive lines in the country if they continue to develop like they have.

My favorite part of the Mizzou game was when we got the ball back on our own 15 yard line with 3 or 4 minutes left in the game and Mizzou still had all the TOs.

Chaney/Pruitt continued to run the normal offense and let JG throw the rock. Not that 3 runs to make Mizzou burn their TOs crap. Hopefully this is sign for the future and Pruitt will to continue to be aggressive in these type situations.

Don't forget about Calbert. This guy continues to get better and better. Mauls guys in the run game. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to run the ball to the right in 3 games since JG has that club on his left hand.

LT - Wanya
LG - Trey
C - Kennedy
RG - Darnell
RT- Calbert

Yeah that's a legit line for a continually improving team, next year looks bright. Football and Basketball will be exciting and I hope everyone enjoys the ride from here on out.

but you don't come around too too much. How's recruiting going? Hear anything?

agreed. i wouldn't pretend to tell him what i think he should do, i'm totally biased. lol.

but, i do think given his practice schedule...i don't htink he's done but a few full contact practices all year...the health issue is gonna be something the NFL will pick apart......no way they'll want to sign an OL with potential serious health issues--at least as a top 10 pick....talk about pre existing conditions....

anyway, he's obviously talented enough to go....and that won't go unnoticed. folks that "know" will like what they see from him, and he'll get plenty of attention from NFL GM's no matter what.

but another year in college performing at a high level with no health issues could be the difference in late 1st round/2nd round to being a top 10 pick.....if that's something that's important to him? he'll get drafted this year or next, it's just a matter of where/what round.

anyway, good for Trey that he's gonna have this option. really happy for him that it's worked out thus far....

What's been said?
to paraphrase, pruitt would be the conversation for best coachin the SEC to talk football with, he has a great view on things, doesn't deflect and accepts responsibilty. had a conversation with him before the game about the start of the season where they were talking about all the gaffes, and pruitt told him that it was on him....he put too much on them in the begining, and that's his fault.

talked about how they got the locker room right, how they got the kids to take coaching, and his willingness to trust the players, and their willingness to trust him and the staff.

i think you can tell Cubelic probalby knows Pruitt, and at least a few other guys on our staff, outside the media/coach relationship. i think Cole really likes what pruitt is doing, and how he's doing it. right/wrong/indifferent, from a "football guy" standpoint, he gets it.

also thinks trey smith is really, really special.

So here's how I expect to see things shake out.

#1 College Football Playoff - SEC Champ goes (Georgia or LSU), LSU with 1 loss can also go...I doubt Alabama with 1 loss makes it, without Tua
#2 Citrus Bowl vs Big Ten - 1 loss Bama vs Minnesota/Wisconsin (whoever wins their game and then loses to Ohio State)
#3 Outback Bowl vs Big Ten - Georgia/Florida vs Penn State
#4 Gator Bowl vs ACC or Big Ten - Florida/Auburn from the SEC seems most likely and you still have Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan
#5 Music City Bowl vs ACC or Big Ten - Whoever doesn't get the Gator Bowl/Tennessee vs Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan or Louisville/Virginia/VA Tech/Wake Forest

Now if somehow 2 SEC teams go to the CFP then we've got a shot at the Gator Bowl, but the bowls are listed in order of "picking". So I expect at least 4 or 5 SEC teams picked before us: LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn (in that order unless Bama/LSU get beat in upsets).

ACC could end up in this order (assuming Virginia wins against VA Tech
1. Clemson 13-0 (9-0)
2. Virginia 9-4 (6-3)
3. VA Tech 8-4 (5-3)
4. Louisville 8-4 (5-3)
5. Wake Forest 9-3 (5-3)
6. Pittsburgh 8-4 (5-3)
7. Miami 7-5 (5-3)

So most likely going to the Music City or the Gator Bowl is Virginia Tech, Louisville or Wake Forest. Clemson will go to the CFP and Virginia would be heading to the Camping World Bowl.

So I'll make the prediction we draw the Music City Bowl and face either Virginia Tech/Louisville/Wake Forest from ACC or Wisconsin/Michigan/Iowa from the Big Ten

It's crazy but I feel more confident we pick up a 1st down on third and long than third and 3 or 4, something about third and long and JG throws dimes or our receivers make great catches.
Against Mizzou it happened time and time again.

Usually teams don't pressure on 3rd & long I think is part of that. You rarely get press coverage and you don't see many blitzes.

JG with time and our WR group = torching folks.

3rd and short you'll see press coverage, you'll see more blitzing.
